$228 went to Notre Dame Learning Center this past weekend. Mercy Bridges is this weekend’s Parish Sharing recipient.
Our educational focus for parish sharing next weekend will be Hope Hall. This is a private, not-for-profit school designed for students with special learning needs who consistently experience frustration and failure in the traditional classroom setting. Located on Buffalo Road, Hope Hall was begun in 1994 to help at-risk learners. The school serves students in grades 2 through 12 from many school districts in the area. Most of the students come from families that live at or below the poverty level. The school receives very limited state/federal funding. Their director is a Sister of St. Joseph. Some of our parishioners have volunteered at the school.
We Welcome You to St. Charles Borromeo Parish
Thank you for joining us. We are glad you have chosen to worship at St. Charles this weekend. Are you interested in becoming a member of the parish? If you need more information or would like to register, contact:

LIGHTHOUSE CDS
C heck out the Lighthouse Catholic Media
kiosk at the back of church! Our offerings
include different CDs, books, booklets, and
pamphlets. The purpose of all the materials is
to help Catholics learn and live their faith and to pass it
on!
We have gotten new books (Saints for our Times,
Did Jesus Really Rise From the Dead) and new CDs
(Who Am I to Judge?, Love, Sacrifice, Trust) for Lent
and Easter.
Our K of C Council donated a display of Building
the Domestic Church booklets with 15 different topics
on the family. This display is also at the back of
church.
Another resource available to our parishioners is
FORMED. This is online access to eBooks, talks, and
videos about our Catholic faith. The service has been
paid for so that individuals at SCB can make use of it
for free. Check our SCB website for details.
Catholic Scripture Study 2018-19
Join us for our 13th year of Bible Study. This year we are presenting 1st and 2nd Corinthians. These are two of the most beautiful and heart-wrenching epistles Paul ever wrote. They reveal that Paul’s life, and the life of every Christian, is never easy. As you will discover, however, he never stopped fighting for unity and charity to his last breath. In the first letter, Paul’s concerns are very practical as he helps the Corinthians confront and overcome constant spiritual struggles. By the time the second letter is finished, much has changed and Paul is the victim of slander. Steve Ray and Fr. Patrick Winslow return to guide you through this intimate, heartbreaking letter. In 28 revealing lesson
and 650+ verses you will learn:
What it really means to be a temple of the Holy Spirit
How knowledge affects us versus how love affects us
What to do when you’re tempted beyond your strength
Both letters were penned in hardship, but St. Paul’s immense
kindness and virtue flow through each one.

Sharing the Gospel Would you like to live forever? Jesus would like you to. God sent Jesus so that one day we could live with him forever in heaven. Remember how the Israelites waited every morning for manna? Do you remember they got so hungry they cried? Well, Jesus wants us to wake up every morning, excited to meet him and talk to him. When we read God's word, and when we pray every day, he wants to come inside our hearts. He wants to be the one to fill every one of our needs.
Prayer
Dear God, help me to keep coming back for more of Jesus every single day. Amen.
Something to Draw
Draw a picture of yourself reading the Bible.
Mission for the Week
Ask your parents if you can have a snack of grape juice and bread today. Talk about how the Israelites came to get manna every morning. How can you as a family make Jesus a part of your day, every day?
