As typically fieldbus / SSI / BiSS systems and rotary actuators even now, most of incremental andabsolute encoders from Lika Electronic will be soon equipped with M12 connectors and a widerange of cordsets and extension cables on request. There is no doubt that M12 is by far the most popular connection system nowadays and hasalmost become the standard in a broad variety of demanding industrial sectors all over the world.Molded cables, cordsets, extension cables in standard and non-standard length, stainless steeland even hybrid connections and sensor boxes are widely offered with M12 termination to meetthe requirements of whatever industrial application. M12 connectors are easy to use and provi-de tool-free mounting yet save installation time and costs. Furthermore they feature a very compact and rugged design which easily allows for high IPprotection levels (up to IP67) and complete shielding to guard against EMI and RFI; thus theyare claimed to withstand harsh conditions, vibrations, dust, water and noise still ensuring stableperformance, safety of transmission and lower costs. Lika's CK41 comes in the wake ofthe successful I41, one of the mostpopular and widely appreciatedincremental encoders from Lika.CK41 is the cost-effective, afforda-ble and yet reliable choice for speedand position feedback in smallmotors and a great variety ofsolid shaft applications.It features a compact design idealfor space-constrained environ-ments (41 mm external diameter)and a hollow shaft up to 8-mm

diam. boasting a simple and quickyet sturdy coupling solution bymeans of fixing plate and grubscrews for maximum safety andminimum time loss. This allows installation directly tomotor shaft for further spacesaving. This optical encoder produces digi-tal (square wave) signals withcomplementary and zero signals(A, /A, B, /B, 0, /0) and supportsvarious types of incremental elec-trical interfaces such as NPN, PNP,Push-Pull, Line Driver and Universalcircuit. Output resolutions are available upto 1024 ppr now, 2048 and 4096ppr resolutions coming soon.

ultra-high resolution ASx36absolute encoder

Available now in single turn version(multi turn version under develop-ment and coming soon), this opticalencoder is designed to providesuperb quality and safety and ensu-re maximum service life and mini-mum downtimes in continuous ope-ration.It features a miniature aluminiumenclosure with 36 mm flange dia-meter and both solid and hollowshaft types in stainless steel (6 mmdiameter available for both shaftversions!). This allows for an incredible flexi-bility and maximum ease ofinstallation in any industrialapplication, especially when instal-lation space is limited.

Despite its small size, ASx36 furtherensures IP67-rated protection (IP65at shaft side) and unparalleled resi-stance to large temperature fluctua-tions (up to -40°C +100°C). It is interesting to note that its com-pact dimensions are pretty much thesame as typical resolvers, thus ASx36is ideally suited to replace them yetencompassing superior operation performances and features.The new series offers refined optoe-lectronic and optimized signal pro-cessing derived from the highest(and yet biggest) Hx58 series. This yields an outstanding and relia-ble encoder able to attain highresolutions up to 19 bits singleturn (524288 counts per rev.) andproduce impressive accuracy even athighest speeds coming up to ± 0,01°(± 36 arc seconds) at 16-bit resolu-tion. ASx36 is offered with synchronousserial interface (SSI) and all-digi-tal BISS-C interface for high ope-rating speeds, improved protectionagainst electromagnetic interferen-ce (EMI) and enhanced bi-directional

communication for subsequent con-trollers.
