• Scope and Content: A one-week intensive Training Course based on the UN Habitat 3 months Training Programme piloted in the Americas, the Making Cities Resilient (MCR) Campaign tools and materials (ex. Mayors Handbook and LG-SAT)
• Module Development: Focus of the course is on the specific elements of the MCR, particularly on the implementation milestones and strategic planning outlined in the Mayor’s Handbook. .

The course design considers the following criteria:
Background diversity of the participants
Differences in technical skill, capacities and knowledge surrounding risk reduction
Provide the opportunity to enhance participants understanding of current risk assessment concepts as well as the risk management/reduction approach promoted by the Making Cities Resilient Campaign
Promote the exchange of experiences among participants
Emphasis on the didactic skills allowing the participants to acquire the abilities to replicate the experience

General objective:• Contribute to the development of capacities, knowledge and
skills to effectively support the implementation of the Making Cities Resilient Campaign 10 essentials (at national and local level)
