Note: z Bend the jumpers in a natural manner. The bending radius is 20 times longer than
the jumper diameter. z Bind the cable ties in the same direction. When cutting the cable ties, leave a
slack of 3~5 mm lest the cable ties fall off the jumper due to temperature change.
IV. Fix the dwang of the support
1) Hang the dwang of the support installed with the antenna out of the tower platform.
2) Use bolts to fix the connecting panel.
The installation of omnidirectional antenna on tower platform completes.
Note: If there is no guardrail on the tower platform, set up a stout wood access board across the arms of two supports to form a working platform for the installation personnel safety. After installing the antenna, TTA, and feeders on one side, change the location of the wood board on the support arms to fix other antennas, TTAs and feeders.

4.5.2 Hoisting Antennas and Other Articles
Carry/Hoist antennas and other articles to the rooftop. Be sure to keep the articles from collision during the course. The method and the caution for hoisting are the same as those for the hoisting on the tower platform. For details, refer to 4.4.3 Hoisting Antennas and Other Articles.
4.5.3 Installation Requirements
The requirements of the isolation degree and the installation interval of the omnidirectional antennas are the same as those for installing the omnidirectional antennas on the tower platform. For details, refer to 4.4.2 Installation Requirements. In addition, note the following points:
z Keep the antenna away from barriers such as high-rise buildings to avoid blind areas.
z If there is no lightning rod on the top of antenna support, install a lightning rod separately and make sure that the horizontal distance between the omnidirectional antenna and the lightning rod is no less than 2.5 m. In addition,

make sure that the antenna is in the lightning protection coverage, the tilt angle 30 of the lightning rod.
z If there is lightning rod on the top of the antenna support, make sure the distance for hanging over the support is 1~1.5 m.
4.5.4 Installation Procedure
Caution:
z Bend the jumpers in a natural manner. The bending radius is 20 times longer than the jumper diameter.
z Bind the cable ties in the same direction. z When cutting the cable ties, leave a slack of 3~5 mm lest the cable ties fall off the
jumper due to temperature change.
The procedure of installing the omnidirectional antenna on the rooftop is as follows:
1) Decide the installation location of the antenna according to the engineering design drawings.
2) Place the feeding point of the antenna facedown and the sheathing near the main supporting post of the support, and then fix the antenna to the fixing bar of the support.
Caution:
The top end of the sheathing is at the same height as or slightly higher than the support top. The transmission part of the antenna is higher than the top of the fixing bar. Fix the antenna with appropriate tightness for weight bearing and wind resistance, avoiding loose connection and damage to the antenna sheathing.
3) Use an angular tester to check whether the antenna axis is perpendicular to the horizontal plane. If the error is equal to or greater than !1, adjust and re-fasten it.
4) Tighten up the antenna until the antenna cannot be moved by any hand pull or push.
5) Make the waterproof curve of the jumper, lay and bind the jumper along the cross bar of the support using black cable ties, and cut off the extra tail of the cable ties.

4.6.3 Hoisting Antennas and Other Articles
Caution:
z During the hoisting, make sure that no person stands right below the hoisted object.
z The personnel working outside the tower platform must wear safety belts and harnesses.
z Pack the small metal articles such as fixing pieces and spanners in a tool bag and then hoist the bag.
z Secure the hoisted articles on the tower platform against falling.
The procedure of hoisting antennas and other articles is as follows:
1) Mount a fixed pulley on the tower top. 2) Run a rope through the pulley, and knot the rope at each end of the antenna. 3) The personnel on the tower and on the ground cooperate to hoist the antenna to
the installation location.
Note: When the personnel on the tower pull the rope, the personnel on the ground must keep holding the rope to avoid collision between the antenna and the building.
Figure 4-16 shows how to hoist the directional antenna.

4.6.4 Installation Procedure
Caution:
z Be sure to protect the installed jumpers from damage when installing and adjusting the antenna.
z When using the compass, keep it away from the tower and other iron and steel objects. Be careful of any geomagnetic abnormality that can interfere in the accurate operation of the compass.
z Bend the jumpers in a natural manner. The bending radius is 20 times longer than the jumper diameter.
z Bind the cable ties in the same direction. When cutting the cable ties, leave a slack of 3~5 mm lest the cable ties fall off the jumper due to temperature change.
z Define the main and diversity ports for the 2-way directional antennas of the same type consistently. For example, define the -45 port as main port, and the 45 port as diversity port.
Install the directional antenna on tower platform as follows:
I. Position the antenna
Decide the installation direction of the antenna according to the project installation drawings.
