The Pastor Speaks  “Daughter, your faith has made you well” ‘Be Human’ is a very famous phrase among the youth. T-shirts, wall papers, Whatsupp and Face book status also do have this phrase. What do we mean by ‘be human’? The normal meaning is to be behaving well, helping others, and be decent and so on. While if we explore further, we will see that the scripture qualifies or compliments the normal meaning we have. ‘Be hu-man’ in scripture means to remain in that goodness in which human beings are created; ‘be human’ is to remain in the im-age and likeness of God. At this state God appreciates humans as being good. But somehow along the line, darkness, evil, death have entered into human lives because of our sinful deeds. The first reading says that God is not happy with death. He never created it for human beings and He never wanted it for the human beings. In this scenario, God sends his only Son to establish the Kingdom of God; a Kingdom where humans will be humans. Paul men-tions that, Jesus in his generosity becomes poor that we may regain our lost dignity. Two of those attempts to regain the dignity of human beings are mentioned in today’s Gospel. Jairus comes with a request to heal his little daughter. On the way a woman suffering from Hemorrhages for twelve years is brought back to human dig-nity. Later we see that Jesus even fights with death and regains the dignity of that little girl of Jairus. Am I human? What is my contribution in regaining the lost humanness in this troubled world? Let us pray to the Lord of Life to give it in abundance.

~ Fr. Reddy~

Please call Fr. Reddy or the parish office if you or your family member is sick or going to be in the hospital and would like to receive the Anointing of the Sick or receive Communion.

Our 3 Churches: We are pleased to have you with us Father Weis As of July 1, 2015. Reverend Anthony Weis Has been ap-pointed Administrator of Holy Spirit Church, Holy Family Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He will be leav-ing His Parish, Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, to begin his new assignment here. We look forward to have Fa-ther Weis join our three Parishes.

WELCOME FATHER ANTHONY The Priest He is another Christ——— respect him: He is God’s Representative—— trust him He is your benefactor——be thankful to him. At the Alter He offers your prayer to God—do not forget him; He prays for you and yours in purgatory—ask God’s mercy for him. In the Confessional He is the physician of your soul——show him it’s wounds; He directs you toward God——follow his admoni-tions: He is judging——abide by his decision. In His Daily Life He is human——do not hastily condemn him: He is human—-a word of kindness will cheer him; If you must tell his faults——tell them to God, that he may give him light and strength to correct them; He has a great responsibility——ask God to guide him in life: And be merciful to him in death.

Prayer for our Nation: God, Our Father, Giver of life, We en-trust our Nation to your loving care. You are the rock on which this Nation was founded. You alone are the true source of our cherished rights to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Reclaim this land for your glory and dwell among your people. GOD BLESS AMERICA.
