If you want a great reputation you start with your heart. Some would suggest that you start with behavior. Sometimes you do have to act right before you are right. But SUSTAINED success comes from a change of heart. You ARE what your heart is established and rooted in.

What is your heart established in?

Instructions for fixing heart problem

Concentrate on the words of the wise. When you concentrate you focus your attention and effort. Throughout proverbs we’re being called to pursue wisdom, to concentrate, if you will, on the words of the wise.

That’s why personal devotion is so important. It is your time to “concentrate” on the words of the wise and so strengthen your heart. Personal devotion and study “establishes” your heart in truth.

Repeat the words of the wise.Memorization of the proverbs is key! I have been living off the word that I have deposited in my heart. Repeating those words aloud during the day has kept me from doing wrong.

I know you’re reading the proverbs but are you memorizing your key verses so you can repeat them?

Here’s one that I repeat and hang onto all day.

“It is the glory of a man to pass over an offense.” I need that at least 10 times a day.

I use it as protection.

Conclusion

Nothing is more important than your reputation. Build it. Protect it.
