Where possible, at least one alternative import and local

orders, monitoring lead times and carrying out quality control

checks. We look at ways to improve our own business from

inbound logistics and warehousing to distribution networks –

all to serve our customers better.

Weldamax’s majority shareholder is Sanlam Life Insurance

Limited. Sanlam is a diversified financial services group and is

invested in Weldamax through its Private Equity division.

Sanlam is an involved investor participating in the strategic

growth and governance of Weldamax without getting

involved in day-to-day operations.

Our Divisions

Weldamax operates through three well-known trading

divisions. Maxweld & Braze is a wholesaler servicing

distributors throughout the country. Unique Welding Alloys

and Selrod Welding service the end-user market and include

packaged welding gasses as a key component of their

offering. All three divisions have been in existence for over

40 years and are well known in the industry for their service

and reliability.

We have a deep-rooted service network to ensure all your

needs are met. This network offers input on technical

developments, machine repairs and product training.

From our modern, purpose-built central distribution warehouse and owned branches to

authorised distributors, the connection between suppliers and customers is seamless. In

addition to this, our workshop service centre is fully geared to attend to machine repairs

and warranty claims.
