TIP AND HINTS When purchasing eggs, choose

only those eggs that are stored in arefrigerator case. Refrigerate eggsuntil ready to use. (For baking, eggs

may be placed in a bowl of warmwater for 5 to 10 minutes to bringthem safely to room temperaturefor best baking results.)

Eggs should be stored in the cartonin which they were purchased tokeep them from drying out andabsorbing refrigerator odours. The eggs should be in the carton

large end up - this will help themstay fresh longer and will keepthe yolks centered.

Dont know if your eggs are fresh?Place them in a bowl of salted coolwater. If they sink, they are fresh if they float, they are not.

To prevent the development ofbacteria in cooked egg dishes,

eggs should not be left at roomtemperature longer than 2 hours(count preparation as well asserving time.)

Chill and refrigerate hard cookedeggs immediately after removingfrom the Egg Cooker. For bestresults, plunge cooked eggs intoa bowl of ice water - this will stop

the cooking process and preventa dark ring from developingaround the yolk.

Is the egg hard cooked or raw?Cant recall which ones youhave cooked? Play spin the egg.A cooked egg will spin, a raw eggwill wobble.

Fresher eggs (less than a weekold) are harder to peel than thosea little older.

To peel hard cooked eggs easily, roll gently on the counter, using thepalm of your hand to crack. Dip ina bowl of cold water and beginpeeling from the larger end.

Hard cooked eggs in the shell willkeep for up to one week properlyrefrigerated. Hard cooked eggsout of the shell should be usedimmediately.

Hard cooked eggs that have beencoloured and displayed decorativelyshould not be consumed - enjoytheir colourful display and discard.

Cook extra eggs for eating andconsider the discarded eggs aninexpensive way to decorate.
