The HuD Group believes in the total well being of leaders, hence our motto, “To In-spire Totally”. In the third quarter of the year, West Africa had to battle with the ebola epi-demic. In the same period, there was an out-break of cholera in Accra and some parts of Ghana.
The HuD Group Ghana, led by the country CEO– Dr. William Okyere-Frempong led a health awareness movement to institutions and organizations to help control these diseas-es. Thankfully, to God be the glory, cholera has been on the low and the ebola virus never got to Ghana.
Our health awareness campaign was done in radio stations, basic schools, colleges, church-es, banks, and many other organizations.
The first institution we reached in this cam-
paign was Alpha Beta School at Dansoman, Accra. The HuD Group held a health education for
the staff of Alpha Beta Education Center on
the 4th of September. The education which
focused on the Ebola epidemic in the West
African region was conducted by Dr. William
Okyere-Frempong in collaboration with
Dr.Freda Dodd-Glover. They took the staff
of the center through the history of the Ebola
virus, infection Control, as well as Cholera
awareness. This education equipped the staff
with the requisite first aid techniques required
to deal with a case scenario in the event of an
outbreak of the dreadful Ebola or Cholera
situation.
