Bardo National Museum Terrorist Attack Yesterday,18th March 2015,three terrorists in military uniforms attacked the Bardo

National Museum in the Tunisian capital city of Tunis.A number of people (hostages)

were trapped inside the museum while the attacks were going on.Twenty-one people, mostly European tourists,were killed at the scene and around fifty others were injured.

Police treated the event as a terrorist attack. The security forces surrounded the building and attacked the terrorists. All the hostages were freed after two hours.One policeman

and a cleaner died during the operation. Two of the gunmen,Tunisian citizens, Yassine Labidi and Saber Khachnaoui were killed by police while the third attacker escaped.This attack is the worst in Tunisia since a bombing on the tourist island of Djerba in 2002.

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant ( ISIL / DAESH ) claimed responsibility for the attack, and threatened to commit further attacks.
