On the day…• Walks begins @ 8.30am
• Transport leaving the club @ 7.30am SHARP.
• Walk should last approx 5 – 6 hours.

• Bring your own or arrange your own transport with other people.
• Head directly to Donard Car Park, Newcastle (our finishing point).
• Buses will then transport people from there to our starting position (Ott car park)

• Prepare for the weather!!
• Walking boots and Socks (essential)
• Small rucksack, Fleece, Hat, Gloves.
• Lightweight clothes (No jeans or cotton t-shirts), Waterproofs (bottoms and top).
• Walking Poles (To reduce pressure on joints and for energy preservation)

NutritionBefore• Avoid Alcohol• Carbs and Foods high in protein.• Lots of water (2-3 litres per day)
During• Carbs and protein, snacks, fruit,
water, isotonic sports drinks.
