Why do so many people fail to make money online even though they do everything their coach
or mentor has told them to do?
Why do two people who are in the exact same business niche and have the exact same business
and marketing tools available go on to have one fail while the other succeeds?
Why does someone who has been building their business for years suddenly get passed up by a
'newcomer' out of nowhere?
Why are some people who seem very successful on the outside not satisfied or happy on the
inside?
Are some people just 'lucky' while others aren't?
What does success really mean?
These and more are all questions I've asked myself over and over again and these are probably
questions you have also asked yourself at some point in time.
Frankly I have grown tired of seeing masses of budding entrepreneurs give up on their dreamsdue to the negative forces that seem to keep people down while a few still continue rise.
I have dedicated this series of ongoing books to help all those who need that 'kick in the pants' toget them moving in the right direction towards success and happiness in their lives.
So read this book with an open mind and really let it all soak in before going onto the next book
in this series. I sincerely hope these books improve your life.
To Your Success!

How Giving Back to The World Ensures Success and Abundance
Many people have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained throughself-gratification, but through fidelity to a worthy purpose.
-Helen Keller
Introduction
We have so much in our lives to be grateful for. Millions around the world live a bare bonesexistence and the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness takes a backseat to mere survival. If
youre sitting here reading this report, you have a roof over your head, you have food in your
stomach, and you probably have at least one car, a bank account, and an abundance of creaturecomforts.
Take a minute to look around you, wherever you are. It doesnt matter if youre reading this
from the comfort of your couch, if youre sitting at a table in a coffee shop, if youre sitting inyour car, on your treadmill or exercise bike, or if youre enjoying the sunshine and reading this
outside. Take a look around you and make a mental note of all you have. Were not just talking
about the material either. Friends, family, mentors, and pets are all blessings.
What about you? You have a wealth of strengths, skills, knowledge, and experience too.
Whether you have a million dollars in the bank or a hundredif you have a roof over your head, food on your table and the comfort of friends and family, youre rich.
Now heres a question only you can answer are you grateful for everything you have?
Gratitude is a powerful emotion.
Gratitude has the power to bring more abundance into our lives. We know this to be true and bysimply exercising gratitude and experiencing it daily, in every moment of your life, you will
understand it to be true too.
Gratitude also invites compassion into our lives. There are so many people in this world who
suffer, who struggle and who do not have the wealth and abundance you have right now, today.
Its important to point out that this is an opportunity for you. Giving back benefits you in a
number of ways.
When you give back, you feel better about yourself, your accomplishments and your wealth
you feel grateful.

When you give back, you make valuable connections with people who have the power to changeyour life in any number of amazing ways.
When you give back, you gain both spiritually and monetarily. Its the law of attractionwhichstates you attract what you focus on. The Law of Attraction says: That which is like unto itself, isdrawn.
When you possess gratitude, compassion, and generosity of mind, money and spirit, you attractthose things back to youall which make you richer, smarter, and surrounded by life, love and
happiness.
Consider for just a moment the amazing contributions of:
Bill Gates and his foundation which partners with companies around the world toimprove health and education.
Oprah Winfrey and her angel network which works on global and local networks toimprove the lives of others.
And Kelly a small business owner who regularly motivates her social networkingfollowers to generate thousands to families in need by donating her time and services in
exchange for monetary donations from others.
You, no matter what level youre at, have the mind-blowing opportunity to improve the lives of
others in a number of ways. This report is dedicated to two major concepts:
1. You have the power to change the world, to better the world.2. By embracing and acting on your power, you will gain abundance both materially and
spiritually.
This report is divided into the following chapters:

A Sense Of AccomplishmentAccording to the wonderful people at the World Volunteer Web, volunteering is aboutgiving your time, energy and skills freely. Unlike many things in life, there is choice
involved in volunteering. As a volunteer, you have made a decision to help on your own
accord, free from pressure to act from others.
Volunteers predominantly express a sense of achievement and motivation, and this is
ultimately generated from your desire and enthusiasm to help. Sometimes volunteers areregarded as do-gooders and those that hold that view also assume that one person can
never make a difference. It may be true that no one person can solve all the worlds
problems, but what you can do is make that little corner of the world where you live just
that little bit better.
Volunteering also offers you:
New interests New Experiences New People Authenticity and credibility in your industry
How To Choose the Right Volunteer Opportunities for You
What is important to you? What causes touch your heart and make you feel passion for the
cause? Is it social injustice? Domestic violence?
What are you most grateful for that you want others to have? Your home? Your business? Whatcommunity, state, or national organizations have you benefited from? Your public library? The
ASPCA?

Write down ideas or ways you might be able to contribute your time, skills and knowledge.
Dont worry about the form it might take or where you will contribute, just write down what you
have to contribute and causes which feel important or meaningful to you.

Were you volunteer can also be about what you want to learn and who you want to connect with.
If for example you have zero construction experience but have always been interested in it then
perhaps Habitat for Humanity is right for you.
Look at the needs in your community. Yes, you can walk or run for the American Cancer
Society however if your immediate community has a pending need, say for example the local
school system needs help campaigning for a mill levy override so they can fix their leaking roof, then that may feel more meaningful to you and you may feel more connected to the community
for your efforts.
There are a million opportunities to volunteer and we could fill pages upon pages of ideas for
you. Instead, take some time and write down all of the opportunities that interest you. Whether
it is helping at the local homeless shelter, tutoring a low-income child, or starting a free resume
writing class at your local community centerthere are myriad ideas. Which opportunity isright for you?
How to Budget your Time
After writing a list of potential volunteer opportunities, you may look at the paper in front of you
and feel overwhelmed. Its easy to spend 100% of your time helping others. Every second of
every day, every day of every year could be spent volunteering.
However, the point isnt to sacrifice yourself, it is to give what you can. You may find that after
giving a little, it becomes important for you to find and make more time to volunteer. Many

people receive a tremendous amount of satisfactionin fact volunteering has led to a number of
business endeavors, the creation of a number of non-profits and new perspectives.
In the beginning, however, its important to budget your time. Once you know where you want
to volunteer, sit down and take an honest look at how much time you have to devote to your
volunteer efforts. Its very easy to jump in and commit too much time, which can end up makingyou feel guilty, resentful and a host of negative emotions, which are simply avoidable if you planahead.
Where to Volunteer
Taking your list of volunteer interests and possibilities, its time to do a bit of research. If you
already know the perfect match for your skills and interests then by all means give them a call,
send them an email or stop by and sign up. Some organizations may require a background checkbefore you can be put to work.
Regardless of the red tape involved, stick with it. Once you get rolling, youll likely findyourself amidst a group of like minded individuals who are committed to the same causes and
philosophies as you and who may become lifelong associates, customers, partners and friends.
If youre unsure where your interests and skills match, then its time to get online and do a bit ofresearch. In our appendix, we list a number of organizations and sites that can help you pinpoint
the best place to focus your volunteering attention.

Chapter Two
Donating Your Hard Earned Cash
Character andpersonal force are the only investments worth anything.
-Walt Whitman
Whats your favorite cause or charity - something thats important to you, your family or your
friends? Perhaps it is the American Cancer Society, the Humane Society, or the Nature
Conservancy.
These organizations thrive on two things:
1. Volunteers2. DonationsWeve already covered the joys and benefits of volunteering. If you have causes, passions and
charities which are near and dear to your heart, its important to do what you can to keep them in
the black, financially solvent, and able to continue to provide their services.
Now this is more important than ever. As the economy struggles, people stop giving yet the
need for non-profit assistance is at an all time high.
You can helpwe all can help. Remember, this report is based on two main principles:
1. You have the power to change the world, to better the world.2. By embracing and acting on your power, you will gain abundance both materially and
spiritually.
However, in addition to the emotional, spiritual and financial benefits of donating to a charity
(remember about the law of attraction? Gratitude and a positive attitude about the power of
money are what attract money and charitable donations are a great way to express this emotion)Donating to charity is also a good way to take a dent out of your tax load.
Most charitable donations are tax deductiblehowever were not accountants so check withyour accountant and/or financial advisor before you claim a donation on your tax forms.

What and How Do You Donate?
If you believe in the Christian faith then tradition requests you tithe 10% of your income. Somefollow this and donate 10% of their income to their church while others take a different approach
and donate 10% of their income to charities and causes of their choice, which may or may not
include a church.
A hard and fast rule about how much you should donate isnt the goal here. Sometimes were
able to donate more than other times and quite honestly sometimes it makes more sense to donate
our time, our material goods, rather than hard cash.
There are things you can donate other than money. For example, you could donate office
supplies to your local school system. You could donate clothing to the local homeless shelter or
pet food to the local humane society.
Thinking along the lines of charities, causes and non-profits which are important to you write
them down and then get online or give them a call to see what they need and how you cancontribute.

Budgeting Your Donations
If you create an annual budget then itll be easy to take a look at your budget to see what you can
afford to donate. From that point, you can create a donation plan, which allows for you to
donate:
Monthly Quarterly Or Annually

to your charities of choice.
If you do not have an annual budget, then its time to take a look at your monthly income andexpenses. Once you know how much you have coming in and how much you have going, out
(not to mention what you actually spend your money on) then you can figure out how much you
can afford to donate. Again, you can decide to donate monthly, quarterly or annually.
If you use automatic banking many organizations provide automatic deductions and you can
donate to the causes you feel passionate about on a pre-determined basis. It takes the guesswork
out of it and makes it easy to track for accounting purposes.
Where to Donate
Weve already talked about a few notable organizations which are always in need of fund, resources and of course volunteer time. There are essentially four places to explore when youre
seeking a meaningful cause to gift.
Local State National World
Begin by researching online. The following organizations offer information and search tools for
charities all over the country.
http://www.charity-charities.org/ http://www.networkforgood.org/ http://www.lic.org/ http://www.givespot.com/shortcuts/location.htm http://www.catholiccharitiesusa.org/ http://www.guidestar.org http://www.charity.org
BEFORE YOU DONATE!!!!
Before you donate, take a bit of time to research the organization. Are they reputable? Does
your money go to the cause or will it support their administrative expenses? Many charitiesand organizations publish their annual reports however if youre having a tricky time finding
information about them, the following two organizations may offer some assistance:
http://www.charitablechoices.org/checkout.asp http://www.bbb.org/us/consumers/
http://www.charity-charities.org/http://www.charity-charities.org/http://www.networkforgood.org/http://www.networkforgood.org/http://www.lic.org/http://www.lic.org/http://www.givespot.com/shortcuts/location.htmhttp://www.givespot.com/shortcuts/location.htmhttp://www.catholiccharitiesusa.org/http://www.catholiccharitiesusa.org/http://www.guidestar.org/http://www.guidestar.org/http://www.charity.org/http://www.charity.org/http://www.charitablechoices.org/checkout.asphttp://www.charitablechoices.org/checkout.asphttp://www.bbb.org/us/consumers/http://www.bbb.org/us/consumers/http://www.bbb.org/us/consumers/http://www.charitablechoices.org/checkout.asphttp://www.charity.org/http://www.guidestar.org/http://www.catholiccharitiesusa.org/http://www.givespot.com/shortcuts/location.htmhttp://www.lic.org/http://www.networkforgood.org/http://www.charity-charities.org/ -

Donating Above and Beyond the Norm.
Finally, its important to note that as a business owner you likely have access to tap into needs, which may be right under your nose. Your customers and prospects may have a need and youcould be in an ideal situation to help them.
Lets take a look at a couple examples:
Personal Coach. As a personal coach, you have clients you coach online and/or on thephone. Perhaps you also coach in person. There are people who could use your services
who are unable to afford it, correct? What if you set up a foundation to coach one or two
people annually who need your help but cannot afford to? There are of course a fewlegal and financial factors to consider however, it is a fairly simple way to give back to
the community the best way you are able.
Marketing Expert. Whether you are a copywriter, SEO expert, webmaster, internetbusiness expert, social marketing expert and so on, you have valuable information and
skills, which could help others. Like the professional coach, you could set up a
foundation to offer your services and/or knowledge to those who cannot afford it, thushelping people build better lives.
Pet Products Retailer. You sell pet products. You could donate a percentage of thoseproducts, say the ones that are sitting on the shelves or dont sell as well, and donate themto your local animal shelter, to shut-ins with pets, or to the humane society.
How can you, using your business skills, knowledge and experience, donate your money or
products and services?

Chapter Three
How To Involve Others And Spread The Wealth
He who wished to secure the good of others, has already secured his own.-Confucius
One of the truly wonderful aspects about being a business owner is the amazing power you have
to give back. As a business owner, you have a rolodex jam-packed with contacts. This includes
your lead list but it also includes your associates, vendors, partners, and always your friends,
family and community members. You are a veritable Paul Revereand one word from you hastremendous power, power to change the world and have a positive effect on the lives of others.
Heres a quick, real world example of how one internet marketer help a family avoid foreclosureand manage growing medical expenses.

This example actually demonstrates many of the ways in which you too can create a tidal wave
of prosperity both for others and for yourself.
Julie owns several websites dedicated to helping mothers make money online. Her targetaudience is quite specific, the work at home mom. Julie has a strong following on a variety of
social networking mediums, a regular podcast and a blog with thousands of subscribers.
Selling products, coaching moms, and ad sales combined, shes doing quite well for herself.
In her communications Julie often comes across people in need of financial help. In thisparticular instance she met a work at home mom who is fighting cancer. This womanshusband has lost his job which means no insurance or the very expensive COBRA option, and
they have a houseful of beautiful children. Medical care is a necessity and mortgage
payments are lapsing. Long story short, this family is in trouble and theyre running out of
time to keep their home.
What did Julie do?
She used her leverage, her rolodex. Julie offered 2 hours of business coaching in exchangefor a small donation to this woman. An amazing thing happened. Within hours Julie had not
only attained her goal of raising 5K for this womans family, she surpassed it. Her followers, prospects, customers and associates were so inspired that they started offering goods andservices in exchange for a donation.
It was a win win situation for everyone.
Julie won because she enhanced her likeability, she met many new followers and prospects,
and she broadened her awareness. (As you might expect this endeavor caught the attention of
many people)
Julies associates won because they too broadened their awareness and profits while
contributing to a worthy cause.
People who donated won because they were able to contribute to a cause they felt passionate
about (and they got the tax deduction).
AND the woman Julie helped won because she now had enough money to pay several
months worth of house payments and she can focus on beating cancer.

How To Generate A Tidal Wave Of Riches
Remember there's no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no
logical end.
- Scott Adams
There are myriad ways to generate a buzz about a charitable program. Your imagination is theonly limit however, here are a few suggestions to get the wheels spinning.
Place a button on your website. Many organizations, like the American Cancer Society, offer buttons and people who simply visit your site can click on the button and make adonation.
Send an email to your list highlighting the charity or organization and why you feelpassionate about it.
Distribute a press release regarding your involvement in the organization. This will bringawareness to the organization and to your business as well.
Write and publish articles online and print about the organization(s) your business isinvolved in and passionate about. This passion may inspire others and itll help build a
community around your business, help people remember you and what your business is
about, and drive traffic to your website.
Sponsor a community program or team. Were talking about little league here. Teamsneed shirts and equipment. You help them by giving them the materials they need and
they help you by being walking advertisements for your business. Its not a NASCARsponsorship but its a great way to give back to your community.
Give public and/or monetary credit to people you know who help with causes yourepassionate about.
Its important here to make a note about the intention behind giving back. Yes, giving backcan and will create abundance for you because of all the reasons we mentioned in the
introduction of this report. However if your intention is to get, to receive, through the act of
giving or put more simply if youre only volunteering your time or donating money becauseyou want more for yourself then its not going to work for you.
In order to receive all of the abundance and prosperity available to you, your intentions needto be genuine. No worries, it feels great to give and when you go into it with your whole
heart, youll reap benefits beyond your wildest dreams.
-

For example, lets say you are actively involved with the local humane society. You can
give credit on your products or services to customers who show you a receipt for
donating to their local animal shelter and/or you can promote them in your blog, newsletter, and other marketing materials.
Social networking is a powerful medium and a great way to snowball charitable effects. One post from you turns into twenty posts which turn into 200, 2000, 2 million posts.
Many top-level organizations use social networking to spread the word about their cause
and you can use it too. Just like Julie did in our example earlier, one post about helping a
work at home mom keep her home turned into several thousands of dollars and hundredsof Twitter and Facebook posts from caring people all around the world.
Brainstorming Time!
How can you use your business, your rolodex and your network to create a ripple effect? What
causes are you passionate about and how can you help these causes through your business?____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Chapter Four
Mentoring Improving the World One Person at a Time
Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person.
-Mother Teresa
Mentoring is an exceptional way to share your knowledge and experience with others and give
back to the world.
Mentoring is when you meet with someone one-on-one and help them learn and grow. A mentee
can be a child or young adult struggling with choices, a professional who is interested in growing
their career, or a person interested in starting a business similar to yours. A mentor/menteerelationship is essentially, however you define it.
Why Would Someone Want Or Need A Mentor?
Ever wish you could cut through all the mistakes youve made in your past and get right to the
good stuff? For example if you started your business on your own chances are you made plenty
of mistakes, wouldnt it have been wonderful to have access to an experts knowledge, someonethere to answer your questions and guide you as you went from zero to sixty without all those
painful and/or costly mistakes?
Mentoring helps people from all walks of life get to the good stuff and it gives them theknowledge and skills of someone who has been through it before and come out the other side
successful and smiling.
Why Would You Want to Be a Mentor?
Mentoring is an unbelievably rewarding experience and you can bet youre going to learn
something from the experience. In fact, most mentors say that they receive much more from theprocess than they give.
Additionally, mentoring is another way to improve the world around you. For example, if yourementoring a troubled teen you have the power to change their life and who knows what amazing
things that person is going to accomplish and give back to the world?
Mentoring is a way to build powerful relationships with people you may have never come incontact with. These relationships will enhance your personal and your professional life.

If youre mentoring a person who wants to learn a new skill, build a business or grow in their
profession youre also helping to improve the world because youre helping this person provide
their valuable skills and knowledge to others.
It all goes back to the amazing power of giving. It reaps rewards and benefits you can only gain
from experiencing it. Were talking about emotional, spiritual and monetary rewards far beyondyour imagination.
HowTo Mentor
Your first choice is going to be how do you want to mentor? Who would receive the most
benefit from your knowledge and experience?

Your second choice is going to be if youre going to set up the mentoring program yourself or if
youre going to join a program like mentoring.org.
______________________________________________________________________________
______________________________________________________________________________
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
______________________________________________________________________________
If youre going to set up your own mentoring program do you already have prospects in mind
who would be interested in being mentored or will you have to promote the program?

If youre going to set up your own mentoring program have you ever coached or mentored
anyone before? If not, youll need to create a program and an itinerary. Youll want to establish
goals and a protocol. Mentoring.org offers a downloadable book/toolkit on how to start amentoring program
For example, will your mentoring be online, on the telephone or face-to-face? Is it an endlessprogram or will you mentor for six months or a yearhow long will the program last? What doyou expect from your mentee? Its important to remember that mentoring isnt about you, its
about the person youre mentoring. Whats in it for them? What benefits will they receive and
what answers do they need?

Chapter Five
How To Tell A Good Charity From A Bad One
A show of a certain amount of honesty is in anyprofession or business the surest way ofgrowing rich-Jean de la Bruyere
While it may be difficult to believe, there are dishonest charities and non-profit organizations out
there. Its important to do two things before you donate or become involved in an organization:
#1 Trust your gut. Youre a smart, savvy person who trusts your instincts. Dont just shut them
off because its a charity. Listen to your gut. If the program sounds fishy, it probably is.
#2 Check them out. There are resources online, which make investigating a charity quick andeasy. First, most charities offer their annual report and other pertinent information online.Secondly, there are watchdog organizations like GuideStar.org and the Better Business Bureau to
help you steer clear of the scams and less than ethical charities.
4 Steps To investigate Charities Yourself
1. Confirm 501(c) (3) Status2. Check The Charity's Commitment To Donor's Rights3. Obtain Copies Of Its Financial Records4. Review Executive Compensation
MSN MoneyCentral offers the following advice:
1. Most charities pretend they dont fund-raise. You want the bulk of your donation togo to a charitys programs -- not its administrators or fund-raisers. To that end, the better-
giving guides typically suggest you ask for the charitys Form 990, the IRS form that is
supposed to detail how contributions are spent.
Above all - Donate on your terms. That means skipping the middlman whether it be the
telemarketer, the person outside the grocery store collecting donations or the envelope you
receive in the mail. Find a cause worthy of your time and/or money and contact them.

fund-raising expenses at all. Charity watchdog Daniel Borochoff has reviewed thousandsof these forms, and he says many charities misreport their fund-raising as program
development, public education and other misnomers. As the public becomes more
sophisticated about the need for low fund-raising costs, the charities get craftier abouthiding them.
2. Regulation is perilously thin. The IRS doesnt audit many charities, and the staffresponsible for handling 990 forms has dropped 15% even as the number of forms filed
has grown, according to the GAOs report.
State regulation is a patchwork quilt, and there are few restrictions on how charitiesspend their funds. In fact, the Supreme Court recently decided that for-profit fund-raisers
can legally keep almost all the donations they get in a charitys name, provided they dont
actively lie about how much is actually going to the nonprofit.
3. Even the good guys screw up. Charities that have reasonable fund-raising andadministrative expenses still manage to blow it now and then.
Donating your time and money to a charity need not be a perilous journey. Take a few minutes
to research organizations, which interest you, which speak to your passions, skills, knowledgeand experience and then spend a few minutes making sure theyre worthwhile organizations.
