1939-40 5-Window Coupe floor system can replace the Business Coupe (Opera Coupe) floor, but you willonger be able to use the opera seats.

1940 Ford made two different styles of both itsdard and Deluxe coupes. Both coupes were thee on the outside, being 5-window coupes, but theree differences on the inside in the middle oor andk areas. What Ford called the 5-Window Coupe dels 77A and 77B) came with a package tray justw the rear windows, suspended over an open lu ggagebehind the seat. Because of that package tray, the

Ford named the second style of coupe theBusiness Coupe (Models 67A and 67B). This is themodel that has fold-down seats in the back and waseventually referred to as the “ Opera Coupe .” The fact thatthe Ford-designated Business Coupe was nicknamedthe Opera Coupe has caused confusion for years.

Technically, the Business Coupe is the Opera Coupe.

Here at Bob Drake Reproductions, we use Ford’s originalterms. Please refer to photos and measurements todetermine the proper t for your car.
