This is Joe Katulak for WKNJ-FM news, on Cougar radio In national news today the FCC improved on Internet rules that would prohibit Internet providers from separating online traffic from slow and fast lanes. The vote was 3 to 2 for the new “net neutrality” law. Chairman of the FCC, Tom Wheeler, pitched the law. "The Internet is too important to allow broadband providers to make the rules," said Wheeler. The FCC is taking a big step in reclassifying high- speed Internet service as a telecommunication service instead of an information service which will in turn be more cost efficient for consumers. The way I approached adapting each of the stories was to find three key points from the story and find which article described the points the best. I also looked for some quotes that would also be helpful to add to the story. I then took those three main points and summarized them in my own words.
