Event Name: 2018 WHSAA 4A East Regional Track & Field

Ø Appropriate school abbreviation must be used – see attached sheet or go to the WHSAA web page and find it under General Links, Forms, Other Forms, School Abbreviations

Coaches Meeting

Ø There will be a brief coach’s meeting at 12:00 p.m. on May 11th in room 311. Please have all scratch/adds completed on Runner Card by 9:00 a.m. Friday morning.

Ø There will also be a scratch & replace meeting Saturday morning @ 8:45 a.m. at Riske Field

Meet Passes:

Ø You will be issued wristbands for entrance to the meet. They will be for athletes, coaches, and bus drivers.

Timing/Field events:

Ø Finish Lynx FAT Timing

Ø Field Lynx

Finals:

Ø The first-place finisher from each heat and the next fastest times (regardless of heat) to fill a field of eight will qualify to the finals.

Spikes:

Ø No one will be allowed on the track unless they have 1/8” or less pyramid spikes or flats.

Results:

Ø Scoring will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.

Ø Results will be posted on the old concessions building on the South side of the track.

Awards:

Ø We will have an awards presentation following the final of each event. An awards presentation schedule is attached. This will be done on the infield in front of the main stadium bleachers.

Concessions:

Ø Concessions will be available throughout the meet.

WHSAA Ticket Prices:

Ø This is a WHSAA event. Session and contest prices are set by the WHSAA.

o Adult - $5.00 per day All Sessions - $8.00 o Student - $3.00 per day All Sessions - $5.00

Ø High school students must present their WHSAA identification cards or high school ID card in order to purchase tickets at the student price. If no identification card is presented, adult prices will be charged. High school graduates and older are considered adults. Please pass this information on to your student body and your fans.

Hospitality Room:

Ø A hospitality room will be set up in the building in room 444. The entrance will be on the North side of the building directly behind the South bleachers (labeled on layout)

Locker Rooms:

Ø Locker rooms will not be available at Central High School. No towels will be provided

Water:

Ø Central High School will provide water and cups for the meet.

Athletic Training Room:

Ø The athletic training room is located in the building, on the West side of the courtyard behind the stadium (labeled on stadium layout). A certified athletic trainer will be available. Please bring your own taping supplies. There will also be a training area set up near the shed on the west end of the field.

Meet Management:

Ø Coaches and athletes will not be allowed in the infield area except for athletes who are warming up for their event.

Ø Pep clubs, parents and fans are reminded that pep posters, banners and noise makers are not allowed at Regional or State sites.

Ø Administrators will be assigned for supervision during each session.

Team Camps:

Ø Team camps need to be in the North Bleachers or on the practice field outside the track area on the East side of the complex.

Parking:

Ø Please have buses park in East parking lot at the School. Parking for parents and fans is located in the East parking lot or the north student lot at Central High School. Please see attached map for stadium layout. Bus parking will be extremely limited on Friday so they may have to park on the street on Education Drive or Hynds Blvd until school is out.

Ø Please review the regional information found on the WHSAA website. We will also go over these in the coaches meeting on Friday morning.
