Service 3. Glasgow to Ayr Ardrossanand Largs.1. General Note.

Services specifiedinthisSectiondo notinclude services providedtostationsbetween Glasgowand Ayr aspartof the Stranraerservice specified elsewhereintheScotRail Passenger ServiceRequirementorservicesspecified inSection 1.7 inRouteDlbetweenAyr andGirvan.

2. Service Pattern- Glasgow arrivals-MondaytoFridayandSaturdays.2.1. Including Early Services, untilthe end of theMorning Peakperiod,there

shallbenine arrivalsfrom Ayr onMondaytoFriday,six onSaturdays,fourarrivals from Largs on Monday to Friday, two on Saturdays, andtwoarrivalsfromArdrossan Townsothatnointervalofmore than29minutes shall occur betweenallarrivals.

2.2. OnMondaystoFridays these services shall omitor addstops betweenKilwinning andPaisleyGilmour Street to ensurethatthefollowinglevelofservice shall applyfromeach station listed below.2.2.1 Dairy-nine calls2.2.2 Glengamock-eight calls2.2.3 Lochwinnoch-sixcalls2.2.4 Milliken Park-eight calls2.2.5 Howwood fivecalls

2.3. Oneservice arriving between 0730and0800 shall makeanadditionalstopat HillingtonWest.

2.4. Between 1700and1930 three arrivalsatGlasgow shall additionally stopatDairy.Two oftheseservicesshall callat Glengarnock and oneshallcallatLochwinnoch.

2.5. Between 2200and theLateServices, allarrivalsatGlasgow withoneexception shall call at Dairy.

2.6. OnSaturdays arrivalsatGlasgow shall omitor addstopsatstationsbetween KilwinningandPaisley Gilmour Streettoensure thatthefollowinglevelofservice appliesateach station listed below2.6.1. Dairy-31calls.2.6.2. Glengarnock-39calls2.6.3. Lochwinnoch-21 calls2.6.4. MillikenPark-35calls2.6.5. Howwood- 21calls.

2.7. OnSaturdays between0715and0730, there shallbe anadditional arrivalfrom Ardrossan Town not less than 20 minutesbeforethe arrival of theEarlyService fromLargs, callingat allstations.

2.8. On Saturdays between 1745and 2000 there shall be three arrivals fromLargswithamaximum intervalof 1hourand 20minutes.Twooftheseservices shall omit to call at Howwood, two shall omit to call atLpchwinnoch, and one each shall omit to call at Dairy, Glengarnock, andMilliken Park.

2.9. OnSaturdays between 1715and1930 there shallbe fourarrivals fromArdrossan with a maximum interval of 1 hour calling at all stations. Oneof theseservicesshall originate from Ardrossan Harbour and anotherfromArdrossan South Beach.

3. Service Pattern- Glasgow departures-MondaytoFridayandSaturdays.3.1 On Saturdays departures from Glasgow shall omit or add stops at stations

between Kilwinning and Paisley GilmourStreetto ensure thatthefollowinglevel of service applies at each station listed below3.1.1. MillikenPark-35calls.3.1.2. Lochwinnoch- 19calls3.1.3. Glengamock-39calls3.1.4. Dairy-31calls3.1.5. Howwood-20calls.

3.2. Between 0600 and the Early Service to Largs there shall be twoadditional departures with a maximum interval of 1 hour and 30 minutes,calling at all stations. In Summer, the firstof these services shallterminate at Ardrossan Town and the second of these servicesshallterminateat Ardrossan SouthBeach..

3.3. Ahalfhourly service includingtheEarlyandLate Services shallbeprovidedbetween Glasgow Central and Ardrossan South Beach, callingatPaisley Gilmour Street,Johnstone,Milliken Park, Glengamock,Kilwinning, Stevenston andSaltcoats.Oneserviceanhour shall callatHowwood, LochwinnochandDairy. Between1630and 1745theremaybe one interval of up to 45 minutes.

3.4. Between 0630 and the Early Service to Ardrossan Town there shall betwo additional departures with a maximum interval of 1 hour and 50minutes callingat all stations. Thesecondofthese services shall continuetoArdrossan Harbour.

3.5. Between 1530and1800 there shallbefourdeparturestoLargs withamaximumintervalo f 1hour 5minutes.

3.6. Between1500 and 1830there shallbefourdeparturestoArdrossanTownwith a maximum interval of 1 hour and35minutes. One of theseservices shall serve Ardrossan Harbour.

3.7. Between 0745and the startof the Evening Peak, departures fromGlasgow toArdrossanTownshallcallat Lochwinnoch, Glengamock andDairysothatthem aximu m interval between calls shallnot exceedonehour.3.8. Between 1630 and 1800thereshallbe two additional departures fromGlasgow to Ardrossan Town w ith an interval not exceeding 50 m inutes.Oneof these services shall continueto Ardrossan Harbour.

4. Service Pattern- Glasgowto Ayr -MondaytoFridayandSaturdays4.1. A half-hourly service including the Early and Late Services shallbeprovided between Glasgow CentralandAyr,callingatPaisleyGilmourStreet,Johnstone,Kilwinning, Irvine, Troon,Prestwick InternationalAirport, and Prestwick Town. One interval of 50 minutes shall be

permitted f ro m Ayr after 2200.4.2. One service per hou r shall also call at Barassie andNewtonon Ayr.4.3. Between 1700 and 1730 there shall be an additional departure fromGlasgow to Ayr so that the interval between services shall not exceed 20minutes. This service shall callatPaisley Gilmour Street topickuponly ,Glengarnock,Kilwinning, Irvine, Troon, Prestwick InternationalAirportand Prestwick Town.4.4. Duringthe Evening Peaktwo departuresfromGlasgowto Ayrshall call

additionally atBarassie an dNewton onAyr.For one of these servicesthecallatPaisleyGilmouris topickuponlyand it is not required tocallat Johnstone and Kilwinning.4.5. Between 1645and1845, three services departingfrom Glasgow andcalling at Johnstone shall also call at Dairy so that the maximum intervalbetween services at that station shall be 1 hou r. One ofthese servicesshall also call atLo chwinnoch and Glengarnock.

5. Service Pattern- GlasgowtoAyr- Sundays.5.1. An hourly service includingthe EarlyandLate Services shall be

provided between Glasgow Central High LevelandAyr, callingatPaisley GilmourStreet, Johnstone, Kilwinning, Irvine, Barassie, Troon,Prestwick International Airport and Prestwick Town.5.2. Noserviceisrequiredtocall atNewtononAyr.5.3 One interval of 1 hour and 20 m inutes on departures at Ayr.5.4 An additional ho urly service shall be provided between Glasgow Centraland Ayr from the Sunday within the Spring Glasgow Public HolidayWeekend in lateM ayuntilth eSunday withinth eAutum n Glasgow

Thisservice shallrun inconjunctionwiththenormal hourlyserviceuntil1845from Glasgow and until1915from Ayr so as to provide departuresat half hourly intervals and shall call as the service specified in Paragraph5.1.with the exception ofBarassie.

6. Service Pattern-ArdrossantoLargs-MondaytoFridayandSaturdays.6.1 From Ardrossan South Beach one service per hour shall continue to

Largs,calling at WestKilbrideandFairlie.6.2 Between0930and1130there shallbe oneintervalallowedof up to 1

hour and 25 minutes in arrivals at Glasgow Central from Largs. Oneservice fromLargsandarrivingatGlasgow Central between1830and1845mayomittocallatGlengarnockandMilliken Park, afterwhichoneinterval of 1 hour 20 minutes shall be permitted beforethe next service.

7 Service Pattern- Ardrossan Town services-MondaytoFridayandSaturdays.From Ardrossan South Beach one service per hour shall continue to ArdrossanTown.Oneintervalof up to 2hoursispermitted before0930,andanotherof 1hour35 minutes is permitted between 1600 and1800.For arrivals at Glasgow oneinterval of 2 hours shall be permitted between 1730 and1930.

8 Service Pattern- Ardrossan Harbour services-MondaytoFridayandSaturdays and Sundays.

8.1. OnMondaytoFridayandSaturdays, fiveservices ineach direction shallbe extended to and from Ardrossan Town to Ardrossan Harbour toconnect intoand out offerryservices.

8.2 On Summer Sundays,fourservices in each direction shall be providedbetween Glasgow Central andArdrossan Harbour callingatPaisleyGilmourStreet,Johnstone,MillikenPark,Kilwinning, Stevenston,SaltcoatsandArdrossan South Beachtoconnect intoand out of ferryservices. Thefirstsuch service shall call additionally at Glengarnock andDairy.

8.3. On Winter Sundays,fourservices in each direction shall be providedbetweenGlasgow Central and Ardrossan Harbour as described inParagraph 8.2exceptthat the firstservicefromGlasgowand the fourthservicefromArdrossan Harbour neednotoperate between OctoberandLateMarch/April atdatessetannuallyby theferryoperator.ThethirdservicefromGlasgowand the secondservicefrom Ardrossan Harbourneed not operate between October and February at dates set annually byferry operators.
