Polastic Insulation System is a total insulation solution for transportable homes, designed to seal up the building against air leakage, creating an ‘esky effect’ and reducing energy consumption.

The key to Polastic Insulation System's superior insulation properties lies in an innovative combination of two highly advanced materials working together to keep the heat outside in summer and inside in winter by creating an Esky effect in the home.

The shielding properties of the highly flexible, specially engineered Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) core together with the thermal blocking power of the ultra-thin, reflective plastic facer (similar to Mylar developed by NASA) combine to make Polastic Insulation System one of the most effective, thin profile insulation solutions available in Australia!

2.1 “POLASTIC INSULATION SYSTEM” INSULATION SHEETS/ROLLS – INSULATION Description:

Proprietary item: POLASTIC INSULATION SYSTEM (Patent pending) Insulation Sheets and/or Continuous Rolls manufactured by Proactive Technology Australia Pty Ltd. Sheet size: 2400 x 1200mm available in 7, 10, 12, 16, 20 or 25mm thickness. Roll size: 1200mm x 24m (approx.) available in 7 or 12mm thickness. Edges: Square cut. Standard: Manufactured to comply with AS/NZS 4859.1-2001. Building Code of Australia: All thicknesses of Polastic Insulation System satisfy the requirement for a thermal break. Options: Polastic Insulation System is available in Standard and Permeable options. Three-in-one Application: When installed correctly Polastic Insulation System provides: 1.Thermal Break; 2.Vapour Barrier; 3. Slim Profile Insulation - in a single product application. Insulation panel: Polastic Insulation System has an entirely non-conductive, reflective plastic facer bonded to a polystyrene core with anti-glare on one side. - One side of insulation panel to be coated with an anti-glare coating to reduce reflectivity, product has 100 x 100mm cutting guide lines and manufacturer’s brand name. - Both sides (anti glare and reflective side) have an emissivity of less than 0.03. White finish has a perfect emissivity of 0.0000 - Polystyrene core complying with AS 1366.3-1992 - Adhesive bonding of the outer reflective plastic facer to the polystyrene core: Heat resistant type able to sustain a temperature of 100°C without causing delaminating of the facer from the polystyrene core of the insulation panel.
