5th annual literary cake decorating contest event – henry whittemore library - framingham state...

8
In Honor of National Library Week, we had our fifth annual “Book-themed” cake decorating contest. All you had to do was bake a cake and decorate it to represent a scene or character from a favorite book, be it a beloved children’s book or your favorite adult book. This year we had three cakes entered into the contest Anyone that came through the library judged the cakes, by putting a token in the box of the cake they find to be the best. Judging ran from 9:00am-12:00pm. We had 269 patrons participate in the voting/judging of the cakes. Winners were announced, and we began cutting into these beautiful creations and shared them with anyone that came into the café. It was a very successful event, and I think all who participated had a good time. Please consider participating next year for our 6 th Annual Literary Cake Decorating Contest. We’re hoping to get even more Literary Cakes to choose from!
