Jacksonville (Record Crowd 85,412) Xavier Lee threw two TDs to DeCody Fagg and FSU came from behind to defeat #22 Bama. Lee came off
the bench in the 2nd quarter to spark the Seminole offense. His first TD pass covered 7 yards, and then he launced a 70y bomb to Fagg to give FSU a 21-7 lead.
Lee completed 12 of 19 passes for 224 yards and ran
for a game high 59 yards.
Greg Carr had 5 catches for 107 yards. Fagg snagged 4 for 95y and the 2 TDs
2016 Orange Bowl FSU 33 Michigan 32
10th Ranked Florida State built a 20-6 lead by halftime, but had to overcome a strong second half by the Wolverines, and come from behind in the closing
minute to win 33-32. Freshman QB Deondre Francois threw a 12 yard TD pass to Nyquan Murray with :34” left in the game for the win.
Dalvin Cook was named thr O-Bowl MVP. He rushed for 145 yards and scored on a 2 yard TD run in the first quarter.
Nyquan Murray masde 2 receptions in the game, and both were for TDs, including an O-Bowl record 92y TD late in the first period.
Deondre Francois completed just 9 of 27 passes, but connected on big plays and accounted for 222 yards of passing offense. He also rushed for a 1y TD.
