From Father:

We are still in need of Mass intentions! We have received about 10 more Mass offerings but still need more to fill our Mass

times. If you have a family member, friend, fellow parishioner, or petition that could use some prayers please consider

having a Mass, the supreme prayer given by our Lord, offered.

As the Diocese promotes ‘Safe Haven Sunday’ to safeguard the purity of souls please feel free to pick up a copy of

Equipped: Smart Catholic Parenting in a Sexualized Culture located in the back of Church. There is also a prayer card for

individuals and families for you to take to pray together as a family. Our over sexualized and misled culture is in desperate

need of understanding sexuality as God has designed it. No individual, family or institution in our world today is free from

the harmful effects of the world’s view of sexuality. We must fight to change the world as Disciples of Christ to correct the

error about human sexuality and to rid our world of the harmful effects.

I ask you to keep in your prayers those preparing for Sacraments this Easter: Harry Petersen, Melissa Donovan, Declan

Donovan, Norah Donovan, Patty Beecham, and Emily, Lillian and Wesley Parolek. This is truly a great year to rejoice as

our small parish has this many people coming into the Church! It is clear that the Holy Spirit is working greatly in hearts!

Please take some time in the next coming weeks to pray for these wonderful people. Please also remember in your prayers

all of our children preparing for confirmation on May 1st.

Last weekend a good group of parishioners went down to collect the High Altar donation to bring back to our parish.

Please join me in thanking them: Mick and Jackie Donovan, Rich Carmen, Chris Beeck, Garrett Beeck, Mark Bennier,

Chad Hartwick, Vince Hinrichsen, Gus Hinrichsen, Harry and Connie Petersen, Darren Donovan, Brandon Donovan,

James Bremmer, and David Bennier. I know there were some others who had expressed they wanted to help but could not

make the trip down. Thank you to Emily and Jason Parolek and Gayle and Larry Royal who donated some packing

supplies for the team to use. If I missed anyone please let me know. I am so thankful for all of those who helped in anyway.

We are deeply grateful to Wilfred Miller and his family for donating the altar and many statues with it! Some parishioners

from the team who went down suggested I open it up to your generosity if any of you would like to donate towards the

refurbishment of the Altar and some of the statues. I was advised by them that now might be a good time to have some

refurbishment done. If you would like to donate please feel free to do so by putting your donation in an envelope and

marking it ‘Altar Donation’. We will be working to get the altar in to the Church as soon as we can in order to be true to

the conditions which were agreed upon when we received this amazing gift! If you have any thoughts or questions please

feel free to let me know. I am honored to be a part of this parishioners led project!

Please join in on praying the Stations of the Cross this lent!

Stations of the Cross will be Friday evenings at 6pm. (Next week 4/12 @ St. Martin)

It is my hope that many families will participate in as many of the Holy Week liturgies as possible. Through the liturgy itself we commemorate our Lords Passion, Death & Resurrection that brought about our salvation.

For Lent, prayerfully consider not just “giving up” something but also “adding” to your prayer, fasting or almsgiving.

A blessed and sacrificial lent to you all!! God Love You! ~ Fr. Sparling
