Requirements: Create a non-representational painting and apply the elements of color, line and form into a 3d interpretation of painting

Goals: Student will create a non-representational image in 2d and 3d format

Skills: Building, bending, cutting, applying, painting

Essential question: Can simple shapes create space, proportion, and symbolism?

Goal: Students will design images using space, balance, proportion, and color

Requirements: Create a symbolic image with color. Representational and non-representational (figurative/non-figurative)

Skill: Drawing, Gluing, cutting, balance, design, craftsmanship, applying balance

Materials: colored paper, scissors, glue, pencil, eraser, (computer or smart board, if available)

Requirements: Produce contour line drawings, 3d shapes, and still life of shapes in elliptical linear-perspective

Goal: Create line drawings and forms using contour line elements

Skills: Apply techniques in linear drawing, construction of form, and craftsmanship

Materials: pencils, drawing paper, erasers, cardstock paper, scissors, and clear tape
