NOTE ABOUT THERMOCOUPLESHC HEATERS. Two duplex thermocouples are installed on HC heaters. HC heaters have a manifold with outlets for multiple hot oil circuits. One of the thermocouples is installed in the manifold. The other is installed in the outlet of the helical coil. Although each thermocouple has two independent sensors, only one sensor in each thermocouple is used. Sensor TE1-1 is connected to the high media temperature controller. Sensor TE1-2 is not used. Sensor TE2-1 is connected to the modulating controller. TE2-2 is not used.HCS HEATERS. One duplex thermocouple is installed on HCS heaters. HCS heaters are for single hot oil circuits and do not have a manifold. The thermocouple is installed in the outlet of the helical coil. Both sensors of the thermocouple are used. Sensor TE1-1 is connected to the high media temperature controller. Sensor TE1-2 is connected to the modulating controller.
