• Various forms of alliances possible,
depending on:
• type and scope of the activities,
• geographical structure of the area,
• transport features,
• degree of interconnection between the subsystems

• Main priority is to make transport
• more attractive for passengers
• more efficient in economic terms for carrier & authorities
• Integration of the urban and the regional transport
(e.g. coordination of local bus lines and suburban railways)

• Alliance enterprise are supported jointly by transport companies

• Inhabitants living in network area: approx. 5 million
• Size of network area: 14,000 square kilometres
