After breakfast, let’s pay tribute to beautiful Mother Nature at MT. SEORAK NATIONAL PARK.

The peaks of the Seoraksan Mountains break through the clouds while jade-like water flows through

the valleys, creating breathtaking views and making this Korea's most famous national park. Due to

the many rare species found here, UNESCO designated this national park a Biosphere Preservation

District in 1982. The mountain range located here stretches over an area of 373 ㎞² with the highest

peak reaching 1,708 meters. The most famous tourist area near Mt. Seoraksan National Park is the

city of Sokcho. The eastern part of Sokcho has sparkling water along the coast, while the western

part of the city connects to the most famous mountain of the national park. This area is said to be

blessed with beautiful natural surroundings: beaches, ski resorts, hot springs, and historic treasures.

Ascend via the cable car and a six-minute ride will take you near the top, followed by a 20-30 minute

DEOKSUGUNG PALACE - a unique palace among Korean palaces in having a

modern seal engraving and a western style garden and fountain. Medieval

and modern style architecture exists together in harmony in Deoksugung

Palace. The Changing of the Royal Guard can be seen in front of

Daehanmun (Gate) and is a very popular event for many visitors. During

loved by visitors.

CHEONG WA DAE (BLUE HOUSE) - the presidential residence of

the Republic of Korea and is regarded as the heart of the nation. It

is comprised of the main presidential office, reception rooms,

conference rooms and living quarters; annexes for Chunchugwan

different walks of life, from the middle class to the yangban (who were mainly high government

officials, noblemen and aristocrats).

N SEOUL TOWER - located on Mt. Namsan offers great panoramic views of the city, and has been a

symbol of Seoul since it first opened to the public in 1980. The tower has not only been given a new

DAY 05 SEOUL CITY

(BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER)

Another full filled day awaits you! Have fun at:-

TRICK EYE MUSEUM – Trick Eye uses the art technique called Trompe-l’oeil (Trick of the eye). It turns

two-dimensional paintings into three-dimensional images through the use of optical illusions. 2D

paintings on the museum walls, floors and ceilings appear to step out of the surface and come to life.

Visitors are more than welcome to explore various themed galleries with their eyes, hands and cameras.

Step inside the paintings to complete their visual narratives with your creative poses and watch a “tricky”

story unfold before your camera. At Trick Eye Museum, you can both learn about art and culture and

make fun, unforgettable memories with your family, friends and loved ones.

Trick Eye Museum features 6 engaging and family based themes (Romantic, Masterpiece, Fantasy,

Bon Voyage, Adventure and Comic) that will spark imagination and the love of art. The museum’s six

interactive zones cover the themes of World of Masterpieces.

HONGDAE SHOPPING - The streets around Hongdae are a maze of shops, cafés, and bars that

express the artistic talents and stimulate the cultural sensibilities of the area’s youth. Local shops

showcase an array of merchandise ranging from handmade clothes to artistic creations and luxury

goods. For the non-shopper, the area is packed with art galleries, live performances, and literary

exhibits. Every Sunday Hongdae is full of people browsing at the weekly flea market looking for a

bargain among the selection of unique crafts, paintings, and second-hand goods. Even if you’re not

planning on spending any money, the flea market is the perfect place to mill around and soak in the

unconventional style that has become known as the essence of Hongdae.

BUKCHON HANOK VILLAGE/SAMCHEONGDONG - Surrounded by Gyeongbokgung Palace,

Changdeokgung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine, Bukchon Hanok Village is home to hundreds of

traditional houses called 'hanok' that date back to the Joseon Dynasty. The name, 'Bukchon,' which

literally translates to 'northern village,' came about as the neighborhoods that the village covers lie

to the north of the two significant Seoul landmarks, Cheonggyecheon Stream and Jongno. Today,

Samcheongdong is a harmonious juxtaposition of old Korea and modern artsy galleries. It is an

unique place surrounded by Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Cheong Wa Dae and

Insa-dong. From Samcheongdong, one is just few steps away from Bukchon Hanok Village.

INSADONG - one of the most memorable attractions in Seoul and represents the focal point of

Korean traditional culture and crafts. Stores in Insa-dong specialize in a wide variety of goods that

can only be purchased or appreciated in Korea: hanbok (traditional clothing), hanji (traditional

paper), traditional teas, pottery, and folk crafts.

ICE GALLERY is the world’s first indoor ice sculpture gallery that is open year-round. Situated from

across Jeongdok Library in the middle of Seoul (Hwa-dong, Jongno-gu), it offers a fun array of ice

sculptures with seasonal themes. Visitors can enjoy cool winter in the gallery that is kept under 5℃

below zero. Some of its exhibitions focus on the theme of traditional beauty, including Sungryemun

(Southern Gate of Seoul in the past), Bukchon Hanok Village, Dabotap (a stone pagoda); it also offers

fun ice sculptures including Ice Pension, Igloo, and Ice Slide. Visitors can participate in hands-on

MYEONGDONG - one of the busiest places in Seoul and is among Korea’s premier shopping

destinations. Two anchor department stores (Lotte and Shinsegae) and a number of large shopping

malls lie along the streets of Myeong-dong. Shops for clothing or cosmetics can be seen at every

corner, and street stalls dot the spaces in between, offering tasty snacks, inexpensive clothes, or

sparkling accessories. Thousands of brands are sold in Myeong-dong. The two major department

stores sell mostly luxury brands while shopping malls such as H & M and Migliore offer selections at

more modest prices. Relatively inexpensive products can be easily purchased at street stalls and
