• The name has changed to ‘LearningDisability Board’
• A first draft of a work plan was shared
• Karen has been given the role of co-chair
• Amanda Wadsworth from theDepartment for Work and Pensionscame and is looking to take forward the
employment work• Green paper: Forums to focus
campaigning efforts of self-advocacy

Ministerial Roundtable
Over 400 people responded to the consultation.
The 4 key points are
1.We need more services in the community
2.People with learning disabilities and families
should be better involved in discussions.
3.Joint commissioning between health and social
care. (working together)
4.Increasing transparency and accountability.
Making sure we can all see everythingorganisations are doing and we can challenge if
things are not going well.
