6th Richmond Hill Scout Group was established in 1996 and sponsored by St. Agnes Kouying Tsao Catholic Church
We have been active as a Group for 20 years One of the Catholic Scouts Groups in York Region The largest group in Canada All Scouters are volunteers Our Group covers all sections: Beaver Colony,
Cub Pack, Scout Troop, Venture Company and Rover Crew
Cub Pack is designed for children aged 8 to 10 years old

How our group was named ?*Fr Nicola Ruggiero, the first pastor of our
Church, initiated the scout group. His Chinese name is “Luk Chi Lok”. Luk means SIX.
*Before our church in Markham was completed in 2001, our church was in Richmond Hill.

•We will have 8 sub groups. Each group called SIX
•Pack 1: Red, Orange, Yellow and Green•Pack 2: Brown, Blue, Black and Grey
•Each six will have one Sixer and one second. They will help the six leaders to run the six

What we expect from you:
Regular Meetings
Parents to inform Scouters of any absences Cubs to arrive between 7:15pm and 7:30pm
There might not be enough Scouters before 7:15pm Late arrivals will not be allowed to join the opening
Cubs to go to washrooms before meetings Cubs to arrive in full uniform (including name tag, scarf, leather shoes and white socks) Cubs with incomplete uniform will not participate in the opening and closing ceremonies Cubs to bring Cub Book and song book (to be distributed in September) to each
meeting
What we expect from you:
Sign In/ Sign out Do not drop off Cubs outside of the school for safety reasons Parents to ensure authorized list is up to date and inform Scouters of any
changes Authorized list contains a list of names whom you authorize to pick up your
kid Scouters will not release your child if he/she is not picked up by an
authorized person Event Registration A circular will be distributed via email for special events Submit reply form and any fees, if applicable, by deadline to complete
registration Refunds will not be issued Unregistered participants will not be accepted at the event

Badges/Stars – Activity Areas
6 activity areas – each with 1 colour star, many badges, and some awards Natural World (Black) Outdoor Activity (Green) Creative Expression (Tawny) Health & Fitness (Red) Home & Community (Blue) Canada & the World (Purple)
Within each area, star, badges and awards share similar requirements
Additional Star requirement: Cubs must complete a minimum of 3 badges in the same activity area

• Home Repair Badge - Cubs need to complete 7 to get badge5 + 2 = 7 done!
Badges/Stars – How to Obtain
1. Work on the requirements2. When done, fill out a badge acquisition form BY HAND
• Go to Cub website Library Resource “Badge Accomplish Form”
• Download and print3. Form signed by parent, teacher or any adult who
supervises the activity4. Hand in the form to Six leader5. Present on the first meeting of the month (Show & Tell)
• Email notification will be sent to inform parents of presentation date
6. Leader to approve and sign7. Badge/Star will be distributed in next meeting

1 No I fried an egg last Saturday. (I will show a leader at Show & Tell)It is 2 times quicker when I boil water with a lid on. When we use a pot, we should always put the lid on and this will use less energy to save the environment…..
