Mass Intentions are available.

Mass Intentions are powerful. We are required to offer one Sunday Mass for the intentions of the living and deceased parishioners of our parish territory, but still have many Masses available.

We are accepting Intentions for Masses at all three churches of St. James Parish. If you would like to request a Mass, please call the parish office, ext 206.

A message from our Pastor, Fr. John Lynam

Gratitude: There are so many things to be grateful for. Even in the midst of adversity, my mother would always remind my family to “Count your blessings.” We are blessed. A few weeks ago I issued a letter to our families about our financial situation and our parishioners have graciously responded.

Similarly, a note was published about our Parish Share Goal. As it comes due next week, I can report that again our parishioners have very generously responded and put us at our goal.

When there are many problems, the Lord invites us to keep things in perspective. If He is for us, who can be against us? (cf. Rom 8:31ff.) As we count our blessings, we gratefully thank God for His constant protection and providence.

In the Gospel today, we find that Jesus would rise very early before dawn and go to a deserted place to pray and then he went out to preach and to heal.

Please pray for the poor and suffering, knowing that you are bringing the love and peace of Jesus to those who live in fear and doubt, loneliness and dread.

Have you considered joining the Society of St. Vincent de Paul so that you can live your Baptism more fully? Know that your gift directly to the poor and suffering in our parish territory. Please consider joining the

Society. You are welcome to call 724-986-5595. If you would prefer, email us at [email protected] for more information. Thank you!
