COMPUTER HEALTHCARE

Computer Healthcare, located at 1110 US 1 in Washington Plaza, has been in the Sebastian area serving the technical needs of the Treasure Coast since 2005. They provide all levels of com-puter and network support for corporate and per-sonal users.

Originally from Fort Lauderdale, owner Tony Galentine became interested in the computer field as a career while attending college in Phoenix, Ari-zona. While in Arizona he had worked as a net-work technician at Phoenix College for about six years. He obtained an A.A. degree in Computer Information Systems from Phoenix College, and since then he has obtained several certifications as well. He moved to Sebastian six years ago from Phoenix. He was familiar with the area because he used to visit the Sebastian Inlet at least once a year when he lived in south Florida as a child. After visiting the area again on vacation, he liked it so much he decided to live here. His first job in Indian River County was as a network administrator at the Indian River Charter High School in 2004. Less than a year later, he established his business in the Sebastian Square Shopping Center on US 1. Recently, he relocated to Washington Plaza.

All technicians at Computer Healthcare are A+ cer-tified. The latest addition to the tech bench, Tony's brother Brian Galentine , brings over 15 years of computer repair and networking experience as well as Audio/Visual knowledge. Rick Richmond has been with Computer Healthcare for 3 years provid-ing outstanding customer service to clients. He has lived in Sebastian for 4 years and is currently at-

tending UCF for a degree in Graphic Design for Gaming to pursue his love of technology and gam-ing software.

On the corporate side, Computer Healthcare spe-cializes in setup and maintenance of computer net-works, digitizing and archiving of paper re-cords, setup of Active Directory services, do-mains and workgroups, digital storage and anti-virus needs. They have several corporate accounts, including medical facilities, for which they provide support and assisting those practices in converting to digital records.

For personal users, Computer Healthcare can en-hance the performance of your computer. In addi-tion to troubleshooting, they will upgrade your sys-tem, scan for viruses, install software, set up serv-ers, offer backup solutions, and fix printers. They accept laptops, desktops, net-books, and Macs.

They also offer custom-built desktops. You bring in the specs and they will build to order.

Computer Healthcare is an authorized dealer for Comcast. New customers can stop by to sign up for service and existing customers can upgrade their services for high-speed internet, digital TV and telephone.

They will gladly make house calls to your resi-dence or business eliminating the need to discon-nect/reconnect your computer and the attached equipment. They charge a $35 diagnostics fee and hourly rates of $60 in-shop, $75 residential service calls and $90 business service calls. Senior citi-zens receive a 10% discount.

In the future, they plan to hold classes to provide instruction in popular software programs to local residents and businesses.

Store hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Contact them to assist you at (772) 581-0368 or www.computerhealthcare.net. Stop by anytime for a check-up and diagnosis.

August 2010 Beth L. Mitchell, Executive Director

The beginning of August is something to look forward to, it marks the midway point of the summer doldrums and gets us thinking about looking forward to the coming season. We have plenty of activi-ties this month with two major events for the Chamber, and our regular monthly networking activities. We start out with Light Up Your Grill Night, our third year for this summertime favorite. A customer appreciation, get your grill out on a Friday night, and visit with your business neighbors and enjoy the summer breezes off the river. This year we have two interesting elements, one of our businesses has registered in the watermelon contest, and we can look forward to watermelon bowling. We also have a long term chamber member who has transformed her business over the summer and will have her grand opening the evening of Light Up Your Grill Night! You will just have to come out and see all this for yourself! Our legislative/government affairs committee has been busy creating questions and wordsmithing issues in preparation for the Chamber’s County Commission Candidates Forum. The City of Sebas-tian has once again allowed us to use their Chambers and televise the Forum, for which we are grateful. Rene VanDeVoorde, Esq. will be our moderator, and we look forward to the only televised forum in North Indian River County to help educate the voters about issues that are important to our part of the county. If you haven’t traveled north on US 1 lately, you may have missed the three story patient tower going up on the campus of the Sebastian River Medical Center. This $22,000,000 investment in our com-munity is some very, very good news for the area. The project, way ahead of schedule, is almost complete and the hospital has very exciting events scheduled to help celebrate this major achieve-ment. Look for announcements on all of the activities! We are marching ahead with the newly vamped “Lifestyle and Media Auction,” scheduled for Sep-tember 16th at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, under new leadership with Beverly Paris of Paris Pro-ductions. The “Lifestyle” part of this auction includes some very nifty packages, including a weeks stay in Marathon, Florida Keys, thanks to Don Wright. Other packages include theater thickets and dance lesson packages along with artwork, river cruises and kayaking sightseeing trips and concert performances. Our favorite auctioneer, IRC Commissioner Wesley Davis will be partnered up with Hamp Elliot, radio personality, to make it a fun evening. If you would like your business promoted at this event, just give us a call at the Chamber and we will tell you how you can participate! Have a profitable month! And Thanks to Capt. Christy from Casual Cruisin’ for the trip!
