Congratulations on your purchase of the Lionel Truss Bridge with Flasher and Piers! Werecommend that you use an Elevated Trestle Set (available separately) or a Graduated

Trestle Set (available separately) to bring your O or O-27 gauge track up to the height of theTruss Bridge.

A Phillips screwdriver is required for assembly.

Assembling the Truss BridgeFollow these steps to assemble the Truss Bridge.

If you choose to permanently assemble the Truss Bridge, you may apply any cementintended for use with plastic kits (not included).

1. As illustrated in Figure 1, fit the steel base into the slot on the inside of the side structures.Secure the base to the side structures using the flat-head screws, two on each side.

2. Snap the end panels onto the pins on the side structures. Refer to Figure 2.

4. Snap the two top structures onto the pins on the side structures. Refer to Figure 4.

3. As illustrated in Figure 3, slide the four support sections into the grooves in the sidestructures.

5. Press the lamp housing tabs into the gap between the two top sections and feed the wiresinto the structure. Refer to Figure 5.

6. After the wires are inserted through the top, route each wire through one of the supportsections, down the side structures, and through the metal base as shown in Figure 6. Securethe wires to the side structures using two wire clips per section.

8. Run your straight sections of FasTrack or traditional O or O-27 gauge track (availableseparately) across the bridge. You may choose to use a Lionel Elevated Trestle Set (availableseparately, 6-12755 for O and O-27 gauge layouts, 6-12038 for FasTrack layouts) or aGraduate Trestle Set (available separately, 6-12754 for O and O-27 gauge layouts, 6-12032for FasTrack layouts) to bring the track to the Truss Bridge.

7. As illustrated in Figure 7, attach the bridge to the rock piers using the four round-headscrews, two per side.

Two pairs of holes are available on the top of the rock piers. Use the outer holes toposition the rock piers entirely under the base for single-bridge applications. Use theouter holes if you would like to place another bridge next to the first, allowing thetwo bridges to share a pier.

Replacing the lamp

Your Truss Bridge is illuminated by one lamp with 12” wires already attached, Lionel partno. 610-2772-300. During the course of normal operations, this lamp may require

replacement. Replacement lamps are available from your authorized Lionel Service Center orfrom Lionel Service in Chesterfield, MI.

1. Disconnect the lamp wires from the power supply or track connection.2. Route the wires up through the bridge structure, removing the wire clips.3. Disassemble the bridge light housing by squeezing the ends of the housing and lifting it offthe base.

4. Pull the expired lamp out of the base of the housing and install the replacement.5. Reassemble the bridge, following these steps in reverse order.

Powering the flasher

After the bridge has been assembled (see the previous section), you are ready to power theflashing light. To make the proper connections, the ends of the wires must be stripped back

1/8” to 1/4”.

Only an adult should perform this task. To strip the wires, use a pair of wirestrippers or a sharp knife. Always use care when stripping wires.

FasTrack users, twist the bare ends of each wire to the bare ends of the FasTrack Accessory Power Wire.Secure the connections with wire nuts (available separately).

1. Connect one wire to the Power/A terminal on your power supply OR to the #1 terminal on aLionel Lockon (available separately, 6-62900). Refer to Figure 8.

2. Attach the other wire to the Common/Ground/U terminal on your power supply OR to the #2Lockon terminal.

The flashing light will operate when the power supply or track (for Lockon users) is powered up.

Limited Warranty/Lionel Service

This Lionel product, including all mechanical and electrical components, moving parts, motors andstructural components, except for light bulbs, is warranted to the original consumer-purchaser, for one

year against original defects in materials or workmanship when purchased through an authorized Lionelmerchant.

This warranty does NOT cover normal wear and tear, light bulbs, defects appearing in the course ofcommercial use, or damage resulting from abuse or misuse of the product by the purchaser. Transfer of thisproduct by the original consumer-purchaser to another person voids this warranty. Modification of this productvoids this warranty.

Any warranted product which is defective in original materials or workmanship and is delivered by theoriginal consumer-purchaser to Lionel L.L.C. or an authorized Lionel L.L.C. Service Center, together with proof oforiginal purchase will, at the option of Lionel L.L.C., be repaired or replaced, without charge for parts or labor. Inthe event the defective product cannot be repaired, and a replacement is not available, a refund of the originalpurchase price will be granted. Any products on which warranty service is sought must be sent freight or postageprepaid, as transportation and shipping charges are not covered by the warranty.

In no event shall Lionel L.L.C. be liable for incidental or consequential damages.Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above

exclusion may not apply to you.This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state

to state.

Instructions for Obtaining ServiceIf service for this Lionel L.L.C. product is required, bring the item, along with your dated sales receipt and

completed warranty information to the nearest Authorized Lionel Service Center. Your nearest Lionel ServiceCenter can be found by calling 1-800-4-Lionel, or by accessing our Website at www.lionel.com.

If you prefer to send your product back to Lionel L.L.C. for repair in Michigan, you must first call586-949-4100 or FAX 586-949-5429, or write to Customer Service, P.O. Box 748, New Baltimore, MI 48047-0748,stating what the item is, when it was purchased and what seems to be the problem. You will be sent a returnauthorization letter and label to ensure your merchandise will be properly handled upon receipt.

Once you have received your return authorization and label, make sure that the item is packed to preventdamage during shipping and handling. We suggest that you use the product’s original packaging. Thisshipment must be prepaid and we recommend that it be insured.

Please make sure you have followed all of the above instructions carefully before returning anymerchandise for service. You may choose to have your product repaired by one of our Authorized Lionel ServiceCenters after its warranty has expired. A reasonable service fee will be charged.
