Question 7: comparing my preliminary task with my actual products.

Front cover

• As you can see, my front cover of my preliminary task is to a lower standard compared to my front cover. My actual front cover uses real conventions like having the title bold and behind the model whereas In my preliminary task the title is poorly placed at the top.

• Also my image is better because the girl is looking at the camera and is posing, however the other image is effective as it relates to the school, however it is worse quality badly edited and doesn’t have a clear focus.

• Also I have experimented more with fonts and used colour on them to make them look effective and more eye catching.

Contents

• My contents page has developed a lot, i have effective white space now which breaks up the text and images, however in my preliminary task white space was too frequent and ruined my contents page as things were poorly placed.

• Also i have more use of fonts and colour. My preliminary task lacked colour which makes it weaker, my real magazine incooperates colour that run with my house theme and are effectively chosen.

• However both on my preliminary task and actual product have relevant pictures to the context of the magaizne.

• On my actual magazine i have a box with more informormation about how to get more magazine.

• I also have text under each sub heading with more detail and i have used techniques and punctuation to intice the reader in.
