August 12, 2008NRLI Alumni Association BODCall from 3:05 to 4:05 pm. On the call: Candy Kaswinkel (new admin. assistantfor NRLI), Bob Tietzs, Lila, Wes, Andrew, Deb, Hal, Sunny, Kristina (takingnotes)

Graduation Latest class graduating Oct. 16 18, at Paramount Plaza Hotel inGainesville. Deb will send a save the date email to alumni. Seeking RSVPs byOct. 3. Discussion of sending print invite to increase turn-out. After 10 RSVPs willsend an email announcement with names to stimulate more interest.

Awards committee updates (Sunny)Have been busy but will complete process via email. Lila is arranging

plaques.M/S: Wes/Kristina Spend $200 from alumni account for award plaques (4

awards). Approved unanimously.

Reception (NRLI coordinates)M/S: Wes/Sunny: BOD co-sponsor the reception at estimated half of cost: we

will cover $400 to $500 (max). Estimate is based on $8/person. Approvedunanimously.

BOD annual meeting (Hal) -Merging field trip and BOD meeting, Hal is working on activities for our

meeting. Agenda will focus on new board election, engaging new members andhaving fun.

What Board positions expire

Field Trip Saturday, Oct. 17 starting at 8:30 or 9 am to about 11 am. Then go to

Yearling restaurant for BOD meeting and lunch. They have a meeting room andwe can arrange parking at the field trip site and/or The Yearling Restaurant.

BOD businessTreasurer /membership update

Currently $2175 in bank account. No new memberships since April needto send a reminder.
