The Mission of the Committee: To promote communication, innovation, and cooperation between GDOT and consultant firms for the management of project scope, schedule, and budget for all external Georgia DOT projects.
Reports were presented on the following initiatives.
1. Update from CRC Subcommittee Reports and Transportation Forum (Jimmy)
o Potential Summit Session: Review of new Traffic Manual.
o Kim to review/research who is reviewing TE Reports.
o ICE discussion.
o GA Tech Risk Register presentation has been removed.
2. Progress Report (All)
o Standardization Committee to review proposed changes from Jill Hodges (Environmental Table).
3. GDOT Program Delivery website (Kim/Jeff/Nikki)
o Ready for launch. Waiting on IT to finalize.
4. Project Manager Roundtable (Kim/Jimmy)
o Two topics being considered for break‐out sessions at Transportation Summit: P.I.R.L. (Public Information Resource Library) and Review of new Traffic Manual. May also include how traffic projections are used for the Bridge Program.
5. NEPA and Design (Susan)
o No Report.
6. Design‐Build (Darryl)
o No Report.

7. TIA (Kelvin)
o No Report.
8. Risk Assessment and Management (Kim)
o GA Tech risk management tool being compiled by District 2 OPD. Two pilot projects: SR 17 and SR 13.
o Bridge Program: Not enough PE for consultant contracts. Concepts are higher (significantly) than what was expected. Next Batch release pushed to January 2018.
9. FHWA
o FHWA will begin “spot” reviews in August 2017. Common issues include material testing certification, consultant performing design and inspections, completion/inclusion of Federal forms.
o Retainage – Locals follow State procedure. No retainage currently. Holding progress payments is a way to get contractor/designer attention.
10. Other Business
o PDP Committee – Bobby Hillard has committee set. No consultants appointed at this time.
o Rick Gurney introduced a Monthly Project Coordination Form (copy attached) that is being used on his project.
o Meetings will be held in the 4th floor Conference Room until further notice.
