8. Wrigley RooftopSummer in Chicago is synonmous with baseball. There is no better way to take in some sun than with a drink in your hand and Wrigley Field in front of you. Roof top seats seem pricey at first, but most include unlimited drink and food packages. Play ball!
7. Magnificent Mile TulipsYou won’t be the only one basking in the beautiful sun as you stroll along Chicago’s famed Magnificent Mile. Hundreds of thousands of vibrant tulips will be on display through the end of May. Keep an eye out for “Tulipa Maggie Daley”, a tulip created and named in honor of Chicago’s first lady.

Shopping, restaurants, a Children’s Museum, IMAX theatre, the Shakespeare Theatre, boat cruises, beer garden, 150 ft tall Ferris Wheel…and more! To cap off your adventurous day, Navy Pier ends each Wednesday and Saturday night with a spectacular fireworks display over the city!

There are quite a few stretches of sand along the lakefront, but North Ave beach is one of the more popular spots with it’s convenient location and boat house restaurant and bar. There is no better spot for people watching.

There are 18 miles of uninterrupted path along Chicago’s lakefront. Whether you’re out for a leisurely stroll or ready for a serious workout, the city is ready for you. No need to pack a bike in your suitcase, there are several bike rental spots along the way.
2. Millennium ParkEscape the urban jungle and head into the urban oasis known as Millennium Park. This expansive green space features gardens and impressive architecture like “Cloudgate” and the Frank Gehry designed Pritzker Pavilion. Most weekdays and weekends, the park plays hosts to concerts, free workouts, dance classes and other events. Don’t forget to cool off under the ‘face fountains’.
