Shining Stars Foundation

The mission of the Shining Stars Foundation is to provide sport, rec-reational, and outreach programs for children with cancer and life threaten-ing diseases at no cost to the child or their families. During the 2010-2011 fiscal year, the Shining Stars Foun-dation touched the lives of 2,976 people. On a year-round basis the Foundation hosts a week long Winter Games event, therapeutic recreation activities, diversified outreach pro-grams, and overnight reunion events for the children and their entire family. Through the Shining Stars programs, children experience many benefits including enhanced overall health, increased self-confidence and independence, and the opportunity to participate in activities with family and friends. Stop by the Mason Morse Tent on Saturday, August 11th. Shining Star’s will be giving out information about the Foundation and upcom-ing events, selling logo items such as visors, hats, bags, shirts.
