MathsLO: I can use my

knowledge of grams to bake a loaf of bread

Starter: Recap your learning from yesterday by clicking this link and reading the different measurements in grams. https://www.teacherled.com/iresources/scales/mass/Let’s put your measuring skills to the test by seeing if you can bake a loaf of bread!

During the 17th century, bread was one of the main foods eaten. Poorer individuals had to make bread using rye but the richer could make their bread from white flour! Today we are going to be rich folk and make our own bread from white flour.

Follow this link to the recipe and watch the video which shows you how to make the bread. Make sure to measure the weight of each ingredient carefully! https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/easy-white-breadPlease feel free to use your own bread recipe or any recipe that you have the ingredients for!

RELO: I know what forgiveness is

This week we will be looking at forgiveness. Read The Lord’s Prayer out loud and preferably to a grown up paying particular attention to the lines, ‘And forgive us our trespasses As we forgive those who trespass against us...’What do you think these lines mean? Tip: trespass means to do something mean or unkind to someone else! People need to forgive each other to mend their friendships, just as Christians believe God forgives us if we are sorry for what we have done. Activity: Christians use the symbol of the cross for forgiveness. Use the cross template attached, cut it out and inside write why we should forgive others. Decorate and stick it in your book.

For Year 2 we are giving an additional reading task. We have attached a text below.
