    A security guard(or security officer) is aperson who is paid to protectproperty,assets, orpeople. Security guards are usually privately andformally employed personnel. Often, securityofficers areuniformed and act to protect propertyby maintaining a high visibility presence to deterillegal and inappropriate actions, observing(either directly, through patrols, or bywatchingalarm systems orvideo cameras) forsigns of crime, fire or disorder; then taking actionand reporting any incidents to their clientandemergency services as appropriate.

    1. To take charge of this post and all companyproperties in view and to protect/preserve thesame with utmost diligence.

    2. To walk in an alert manner during my tour ofduty, keeping always on the alert and observingeverything that takes place within sight or hearing.

    3. To report all violations of orders I am instructedto enforce.

    4. To relay all calls from posts more distant fromthe guard house than my own.

    5. To quit my post only when properly relieved.

    4. The hand salute under the naval custom is

    accompanied by a word of greeting such as "good

    morning, Sir/Ma'am" depending on the time of

    day.

    when a salute cannot be rendered by the right

    hand.

    5. He shall not drink intoxicating liquor immediatelyduring or before his tour of duty.

    6. He shall know the location of the fire alarm box nearhis post and to sound the alarm in case of fire ordisorder.

    7. He shall know to operate the fire extinguisher at hispost.

    8. He shall know the location of the telephone / and thetelephone number of the police precincts as well as thetelephone number of the fire stations in the locality.

    9. He shall immediately notify the police in case of anysign of disorder, strikes, riot, or any serious violation ofthe life and property.

    10. He shall familiarize himself with the Private SecurityAgency Law (RA No.5487) and the implementing rulesand regulations.

    1. As a security agent, his fundamental duty is to servethe interest or mission of his agency in compliance withthe contract entered into with the clients of the agency

    he is supposed to serve.

    2. He shall be honest in thoughts and deeds both in hispersonal and official actuations, obeying the law of theland and the regulations prescribed by his agency andthose established by the company he is supposed toprotect.

    3. He shall not reveal any confidential matter that is

    confided to him as security guard and such othermatters imposed upon him by law.

    4. He shall act at all times with decorum and shall notpermit personal feelings, prejudices and unduefriendship to influence his actuation in the performanceof his official functions.

    5. He shall not compromise with criminals and other

    lawless elements to the prejudice of the customer or hisclient but assist government in its relentless driveagainst lawlessness and other forms of criminality.

    6. He must carry his assigned duties as security guardor watchman as required by law to the best of his abilityand safeguard life and property to the establishment heis assigned.

    Discipline - it is the training that develops selfcontrol, character, and efficiency and as the result

    of such training implies subjection to control

    exerted for he good of the group. It is the state of

    order existing within a command.

    Far Vision -- The ability to see details at adistance.

    Selective Attention-- The ability toconcentrate on a task over a period of time

    without being distracted.

    Hearing Sensitivity-- The ability to detect or

    tell the differences between sounds that vary

    in pitch and loudness.

    Speech Clarity -- The ability to speak clearly

    so others can understand you.

    Time Sharing -- The ability to shift back and

    forth between two or more activities or

    sources of information (such as speech,

    sounds, touch, or other sources).

    7. He shall wear his uniform, badge, patches andinsignia properly as a symbol of public trust andconfidence as an honest and trustworthy securityguard, watchman and private detective.

    8. He must keep his allegiance first to the government,to the agency he is and to the establishment he isassigned to serve with loyalty and dedicated service.

    9. He shall diligently and progressively familiarizehimself with the rules and regulations laid down by hisagency and that of the customer or clients.

    10. He shall at all times be courteous, respectful andsalute to his superior officers, government officials andofficials of the establishment where he is assigned andthe company he is supposed to serve.

    11. He shall report to performhis duties always in properuniform and neat in hisappearance.

    12. He shall learn at heart ormemorize and strictly observethe laws and regulationsgoverning the use of firearms.

    property.

    Documenting/Recording Information--

    Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or

    maintaining information in written or

    electronic/magnetic form.

    Monitor Processes, Materials, or

    Surroundings-- Monitoring and reviewing

    information from materials, events, or theenvironment, to detect or assess problems.

    Active Listening-- Giving full attention to

    what other people are saying, taking time to

    understand the points being made, asking

    questions as appropriate, and not interrupting

    at inappropriate times.

    Near Vision-- The ability to see details atclose range (within a few feet of the observer).
