Definition –faulty reasoning or mistaken thinking 1) name calling: using label to oppose someone

instead of evidence 2) stereotyping: gives all the members of a

group the same characteristics

Example – 1) name calling: He can’t be on the team because he is lame.

2) stereotyping: That kid got all A’s on his report card so he’s a nerd.
