The Sarigam LIT Polytechnic Students Chapter of the Institution of Engineers (India)

organized a one day workshop on Energy conservation awareness in the Auditorium

of Laxmi Institute of Technology. The program was organized by the Sarigam LIT

Polytechnic Students’ chapter of the institution of engineers (India) in association

with Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) a Govt. of Gujarat Organization.

The sessions were delivered by two distinguished speakers Mr. Jitendra N Vyas and

Mr. Sachin Deshpandey from ARS Energy Auditiors, Virar, Mumbai. They are the

Authorised Trining Providers and Consultants to GEDA. About 120 students of

Polytechnic Wing of Laxmi Institute of Technology were benefitted from the

workshop. The program was organized by Mr. Pulok Ranjan Mohanta, Adviser to The

Sarigam LIT Polytechnic Students Chapter. The session was inaugurated by lightening

of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana followed by an Inaugural speech by Prof. Amrat

Patel, Principal, LIT Sarigam.

The speakers alternatively delivered their talks on various topics like Energy

Conservation and its need in the present day context, Systems Approach, Energy

Audit etc. They also highlighted to the energy conservation opportunities in various

industrial and domestic equipments and the opportunity the renewable energy

sector have. The sessions were interactive and last session was reserved for

questioners. And finally the session ended with a vote of thanks from the organizer

Mr. Pulok Ranjan Mohanta.
