ACCESSING YOUR CAPPOn Banner Self Service:

1. Click on Student Services/ Student Accounts.

2. Click on Student Records.

3. Click on CAPP Degree Evaluation.

4. Select the current semester from the pull down menu

5. If the correct major and minor appear, click Generate New Evaluation. You will need to do this after grades have been reported at the end of each Semester to receive the most updated version of your progress.

6. Select the intended major and the current term, then click on Generate Request. This may take a few minutes.

7. When prompted, select Detail Requirements

8. A red No designates a required area is Incomplete.

9. Courses you are currently taking will appear in GREEN.

PROGRAM EVALUATION

1. Program: Indicates the degree and major that is evaluated.

2. Catalog Term: Indicates the set of General Education requirements that are used to create the evaluation. Catalogs from Fall 2003 - present are available for degree evaluation.

3. Evaluation Term: Indicates the term for which the evaluation is generated.

4. Expected Graduation Date: Is arbitrarily generated by CAPP, and is typically NOT accurate

5. Results as of: Indicates the date the evaluation was generated.

6. Total Required: Indicates the overall number of credits required for the Program.7. Program GPA: Includes courses that are used for this specific evaluation. If you have repeated or failed any courses, you

will need to compute your GPA manually. Some departments are not using this section of the degree evaluation, so you may not have an entry here. **The Psychology GPA is NOT accurate on CAPP.**

8. Overall GPA: This is your cumulative GPA.9. Transfer: Indicates the total number of transfer credits used for this evaluation.10. Unused: Indicates courses that did not meet any of the General Education, Major, or Minor requirements for this

evaluation. These courses do count toward the overall 120 credits needed to graduate.11. Met (Yes/No): Indicates whether the requirement has been met.12. Credits (Required): The number of required credits for each category.13. Credits(Used): The actual number of credits used in each category for this evaluation. Used credits include any in-

progress courses.14. Courses (Required): This information is not used in the Program Evaluation, but it may be used for the General and

REQUIREMENT INFORMATION

1. Area/ Group: A set of requirements for the program being evaluated.

2. Met/Not Met: Indicates whether the requirement has been met.

3. Met/Not Met (Yes/No): Indicates whether the individual requirement has been met.

4. Condition (And/Or): The “and” condition indicates that the requirement must be fulfilled using both of the courses shown. The “or” condition indicates that the requirement must be fulfilled using either of the courses shown.

5. Rule: If shown, indicates a specific course category within that requirement group.

6. Subject: Subject name of a course requirement.

7. Attribute: Course attributes identify specific characteristics of courses that can be used in degree evaluation (e.g., Writing Intensive or Oral Requirement attributes).

8. Term: Term in which the course was taken. Term codes may appear in two formats:• The term followed by the year (for example, Fall 2007) • The four-digit year followed by a two-digit code for the term (for example, 200780)

– (the two digit code for the Spring term is 10, First Summer term is 50, Second Summer term is 70, and the Fall term is 80).

9. Subject: Subject name for the course taken.

10. Course: Course number for the course taken. GREEN indicates Course(s) “in Progress”

13. Credits: The number of credits earned for a course.

14. Grade: Grade earned for a course. In-progress courses will not have a grade listed in this column. A letter “T” preceding the grade indicates that the course was transferred from another institution.

15. Source: Indicates where the course was found on the academic record: T (transfer records), H (academic history), or R (registration records).
