OUR MISSIONWE CAN empowers Cape Cod women of all ages undergoing challenging life transitions by providing services that bring increased opportunity, self-sufficiency, stability, and lasting positive change for themselves, their families and, ultimately, our entire community.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

For 13 years, WE CAN has been empowering Cape Cod women to make lasting, positive change.

By supporting women going through transitions and difficult times, WE CAN helps families and

strengthens our Cape Community. We serve women across their lifespan and provide unique

services such as mentoring, free legal, financial and work support consultations, workshops,

and training, as well as information and referrals. The organization has a small staff and depends

on a growing cadre of more than 200 volunteers and funding from grants, events, businesses,

and individual donors. In the first six months of 2014, we handled 5,500 calls and walk-ins, compared

to 2,500 in the same time period in 2013.

At $175 per ticket, last year’s event sold out to more than 450 people with a waiting list. The event

raised $58,000 from sponsorships and netted more than $95,000 for WE CAN services. The increased

sponsorship allowed us to underwrite all expenses so that 100% of funds from every ticket directly

benefited the women served by WE CAN. This year, with your help, we hope to top $65,000 in

sponsorships and raise more than $100,000 for our services. As a major fundraiser, this revenue

represents 25% of WE CAN’s total budget.
