A dedicated kid’s expo @ the Rand Show 2018Currently within the South African live events landscape there is no dedicated consumer kid’s expo that provides a marketing platform for educational and financial brands, retailers, importers, distributors and manufacturers of a host of related merchandise solutions related to the children's market.

Our team has carefully structured a series of popular zones that were identified through our research and we have also selected the key players in the specific areas that we believe will be the best fit and get the best ROI. This is not simply an extension of your existing retail grid but rather a completely new way of retailing where the overall interactive experience will provide future loyalty to your existing structure. It is also a great way of getting quality original content for your various marketing mediums.

The expo aims to create the ultimate experience by incorporating exciting and interactive activations which are a great way for brands to get kids to interact and experiment with their products. Some of these activations include a dedicated Lego area, “Nerf Gun” course, “Barbie” world and of course, with it being Easter an Easter egg hunt or similar activation. Stationery is also a large consumer area but very seasonal with the majority of back to school sales (Around 80%) happening during December and January. Based on this we will have a Back To School 2 Zone which offers a fantastic opportunity to retailers to bolster sales as well as clear stock. The Rand Show takes place during the school holidays so this is perfect timing before the start of the new term.

The Rand Show annually attracts an audience of over 200 000 visitors with 70% of these comprising young families in the mid- to upper income brackets. This audience attends the show eager to interact with brands and experience new products and with 68% of our audience aged between 25 - 49 years, this market offers huge growth potential to engage with families . Over 93% of attendee’s in 2017 indicated that they would return to the Show in 2018, the Kids Expo @ the Rand Show provides you with an opportunity to interact with this audience.
