just what benefits a specific country. The survey findings indicate that study abroad is

succeeding in its mission. When questioned about intercultural development, 98 percent of

respondents said that study abroad helped them to better understand their own cultural values

and biases, and 82 percent replied that study abroad contributed to their developing a more

sophisticated way of looking at the world.

oriented and time sensitive statement that, once achieved, propels the organization closer

toward meeting one of its goals. The business' goals and objectives form the foundation of its

    3.0 Background of the study

The report is originated in result of my internship program which I have done as are

requirement of BBA program. This report is completed based on my three months internship

in Executive trade international. This is an orientation report that contains the real life day to

day working experience of different tasks. Todays world is changing very quickly as new

business are rising by placing the old ones. In the new millennium, people feel an increasing

awkwardness about the future. Like the other business, consulting practice is also changing at

an unbelievable pace. Consulting business becomes more demanding and competitive day by

    day.

    4.0 Objective of the study

The business' goals and objectives form the foundation of its business plan. Business

owners can follow the same process on their own to develop workable goals, objectives and

actions to help their business succeed. The main objective of the study is to have on

international education and its impact on career development. Assess the following specific

    objectives.

Identify as the tangible and intangible skill and capabilities through their experience

abroad and how they have they have applied that there professional, personal and

education pursuits. To expose professionals to consulting process, practices and tools

To impart basic consultancy, project management and comprehensive problem

solving skills to professionals and working executives.

To encourage professional to opt consulting as a career option

To develop skills and expertise for internal consulting in organizations

To expose professionals to consulting process, practices and tools.

To impart basic consultancy, project management and comprehensive problem

solving skills to professionals and working executives.

To encourage professional to opt consulting as a career option

To develop skills and expertise for internal consulting in organizations

    5.0 Limitation of the study

Consultancy sector is very sensitive and competitive by its nature. So, data of this

report is not available and the interviews might not disclose accurate facts and figures.

However I have faced the following problems to prepare the report.

  • 8/10/2019 A Descriptive Study on Impact of Education Abroad on Career

    14/33

    14

    Insufficiency of valuable and information

Lack of prepare books, journals and relevant data

    Lack of time and resource

Lack of perfect cooperation of the survey personal

The organization maintains confidentially to provide some of the following

    information.

    Lack of support

    Lack of secondary raw data

    5.1 Action Plans

Develop the action plan for each objective. An action plan breaks the objective down into

small, manageable tasks you can accomplish in a few days to a week. For instance, one task

in obtaining a realtor's license is to research training programs and another is applying for the

    programs.

    5.2 Implementation

Act on the plan. Consultants may assist with implementation, such as helping the client

company set up its virtual office or computer network but, the majority of implementation

falls to the business owner and employees. Start with the first action to meet the firstobjective of the one-year goal and work our way down the list, in order.

    5.3 Intercultural Development

Study abroad educators often assert that one of the goals of study abroad is to train future

global leaders to be more effective, respectful of other cultures and political and economic

systems, and willing to take a stand for the world's welfare, not just what benefits a specific

country. The survey findings indicate that study abroad is succeeding in its mission. When

questioned about intercultural development, 98 percent of respondents said that study abroad

helped them to better understand their own cultural values and biases, and 82 percent replied

that study abroad contributed to their developing a more sophisticated way of looking at the

    world.

"The experience of living and studying in another country was so eye-opening tested

preconceptions and habits I wasn't even aware were so ingrained in me. It is significant to

note that these intercultural benefits are not fleeting but continue to impact participants' lives

long after their time abroad. Almost all of the respondents (94 percent) reported that the

experience continues to influence interactions with people from different cultures, and 23

percent still maintain contact with host-country friends. Ninety percent said that the

experience influenced them to seek out a greater diversity of friends, and 64 percent said that

it also influenced them to explore other cultures.

    6.0 Education and Career Attainment

It is noteworthy that the majority of respondents gave academic and professional accounts

similar. When questioned about academic pursuits, 87 percent of respondents said that study

abroad influenced subsequent educational experiences, 63 percent said that it influenced their

decision to expand or change academic majors, and 64 percent reported that it influenced

their decision to attend graduate school. Nearly half of all respondents have engaged in

international work or volunteerism since studying abroad.

6.1 Longer Stays Mean Greater Benefits:

For many years, conventional wisdom in the study abroad field has been that "more is better".

The longer students study abroad, the more significant the academic and cultural

development and personal growth benefits. Although all students benefit from the study

abroad experience, there are a few choices that students can make that having the potential to

increase their long-term and career benefits.

6.2 A Life time of Benefits

Few other experiences in life have proven to net such a positive and sustainable impact. With

study abroad offering so many life-changing and enduring academic, career, intercultural,

personal, and social benefits, students should carefully consider studying abroad when

    16

searching for a college and during their collegiate career. Students should question potential

colleges about the study abroad programs they offer and find out how competitive the

application process is and if grades and financial aid transfer. In addition, colleges, parents,

and employers should encourage and enable students to study abroad.

    7.0 Literature review

"It will change your life. You'll come back a new person." For years, the benefits of

study abroad have been described in these words. Everyone in the study abroad field believed

    8.0 Research framework

    Research Questions:

    a. Does there any relationship between educations abroad on career development?

    b. Does there any impact in education abroad on career development?

    Hypothesis:

    1. There is a significant relationship between educations abroad on career development

    2. There is an impact education abroad on career development

    9.0 Research Methodology

    9.1 Research design

The methodology of the research have been describe o the basis of research design, data

collection methods and data analysis. The study is descriptive in character which tends to

investigate the understanding of improved lifestyle and intercultural development in the

context of Executive Trade International (ETI) .The research design consist the blueprint of

the quantity, collection and analysis of data. The study intends to identify the occurrences,

characteristics of sample which clearly state that the research is a descriptive study. The

objective of the research is likely from side to side to the data collection and explanation of

the research. The study will determine the student sensitivity on the organization based on

key relationship marketing underpins- lifestyle improvement and intercultural development

    9.2 Research Approach

To examine the research dilemma, researcher collects different information from client

(student) of ETI. Researcher gives letter to each and every participant explaining the research

Impact of education abroad Career development

  • 8/10/2019 A Descriptive Study on Impact of Education Abroad on Career

    18/33

    18

focus. Participation of the respondents will depend on their choice. Participants can pull out

from responding at any time without giving any explanation.

    9.3 Sampling Method

The study conducted only in ETI due to time and budget constraints. The sampling frame for

this research was the clients (student) of ETI. Data has been collected from ETI.

Sample collected by simple random sampling technique. Cooper and Schinder (2003) stated

that in this type of probability sampling method each population element is known and has an

    equal chance of selection.

The sample size was 15 to investigate the variables like lifestyle improvement and

intercultural development in context of ETI.

    9.4 Sampling instrument

Because of the lack of secondary data (magazine journals and articles), the researcher

gathered data from the primary source by developing questionnaire. To obtain data for this

study the researcher used questionnaire because of following reasons:

It is not possible to make a personal interview for the large number sample size of 15

The postal system of our country is very slow. So mail survey will be time consuming

    for this study.

I t takes less time to fill up a questionnaire survey form. As a result, the student will

not be unwilling in providing accurate data.

The researchers found that most of the earlier research with large number of sample

    size used survey method.

Internet survey will not be possible for this study as the research will be conducted in

    the context of Bangladesh

    Respondents ambiguity can be maintained

Similar to most other researches, questionnaire has been tailored from previous

experimental studies. In the questionnaire there will be two sections which are

    lifestyle improvement and intercultural development.

Lifestyle improvement will be measured by using 5 items (section 1, question no. 1-5). This 5

point likert scale was used by Ndubisi (2007).

  • 8/10/2019 A Descriptive Study on Impact of Education Abroad on Career

    19/33

    19

Intercultural development will be measured by using 5 items (section 2, question no. 1-5).

This 5 point likert scale was used by Ndubisi (2007)

    9. 5 Data collection Procedure

It is impossible to get information from secondary sources like journal, article or magazine

for the reason that no available study has been conducted within the context of Consulting

Farm in Bangladesh. Therefore the researcher will impose primary data to explore research

problem. The researchers will conduct questionnaire to collect primary data.

    9. 6 Data Analysis Procedure

Frequency distributions like mean, median, mode, standard deviation were used in the study.

Descriptive statistics and frequency distribution were better for the study as they have more

    valid explanation on student responses.

Quantitative data of the research collected by primary sources and the comparison

represented through charts and graphs. For the current study on hand, the statistical package

for social sciences (SPSS) software version 17.0 will be utilized by the researchers as a

statistical data analysis tool since it offers greater practicability in data analysis.

    10.0 Finding of the study

Table 0.1 Represent the descriptive statistics of the measured variables. Here mean

represent the verge of the variables. Median presents the middle value of the distribution.

Median of a frequency distribution is the value of the set which divides the total frequency

into two equal parts. Mode is the model value of the distribution which is the value of the

variety which has maximum frequency. In frequency distribution, the value appear maximum

number of times is known as mode as it has maximum frequency. Standard deviation is the

measure of dispersion of the variables. In a frequency distribution, the spread of the vales

may be symmetrical around the centre or it may not be so. Histogram is the visual

representation of results with normal curve.

    11.0 Significance of the study

Now a days student consulting firm sector of Bangladesh is very competitive. There

are lots of student consulting firm exist in Bangladesh. The study will help researcher to

comprehend the impact of education variables- lifestyle improvement and intercultural

development. This form of study was not used in the developing countries like Bangladesh.

The study is important for different types of reasons. This research will help to increase

student consulting firms loyal client, which will help to boost future clients, in context of

student consulting firm in Bangladesh. This form of research will encourage further

researchers in Bangladesh or in other countries in similar areas of interest.

    12.0 Recommendation
