Welcome players of every skill level and age! Our Golf Academy is the ideal complement to the diversity and challenge found among our 54 holes of championship golf. Eric Simmons brings a variety of professional experiences to the Ford’s Colony Golf Academy including roles as a swing coach, club fitter, club repair specialist and top junior instructor. He has held similar positions at Holly Hills Country Club, Whiskey Creek Golf Club and Independence Golf Club.

Eric has a passion to help players achieve their goals while working within the framework of golf laws and principles. His main focus is to help players build on their current abilities using unique practice routines, video analysis and a greater understanding of motor skills.

IndividualPractice for 30 minutes or one hour with our Director of Instruction to correct specific faults and gain proper technique. Use of video analysis with full swing and in-depth analysis of your short game.

Golfer Development SeriesEnjoy two nine-hole playing lessons coupled with four instructional lessons tailored to the student based on strengths and weaknesses.

Unlimited Lesson PlanThis plan is for the golfer wanting serious improvement and savings. The plan consists of an initial evaluation, goal setting session, club fitting, coaching, instruction and playing lessons. This is truly unlimited; with one lesson a week, participants could save up to $1,600 per year. Six-month and junior prices also available.

Golf ClinicsThese clinics provide the student with the basic golf knowledge and skills training needed to increase confidence on the course. Held in the fall, spring and summer, these clinics are formatted in a group, and include men’s, women’s and mixed classes. Contact the Golf Shop for schedule and pricing.

Club RepairWe offer professional club repair with a wide variety of services available. Whether you need re-grips, new shafts or special modifications, our experienced repair specialists can make precision adjustments to your clubs to better meet your individual needs, and most repairs can be completed in one to five days.

Demo DaysYou can get your hands on our newest irons, woods, wedges and more to find the design that feels best, and then have a set custom-fitted to your swing by our professional fitters. These specialists are trained in adjusting loft, lie angle, shaft type, length and much more. Even the subtlest of tweaks can result in shaving strokes from your scorecard. Junior Golf ProgramsFrom basics on the practice range to golf games in the classroom, juniors of all skill levels will find the summer camps both fun and educational.
