Backpacker’s hostels and dorms at your service

Try checking-in at any of the backpackers hostel at Kampong Glam, Little India, Chinatown or the Central Business District that are affordable and offer good facilities. You will find eateries and food courts that serve good quality tasty food at pocket-friendly rates. For those who want a taste of the local flavour, target the hawker centres, which comprise rows of small food stalls serving a variety of good food and desserts, and again at very reasonable rates. The hawker centres also have stalls that sell beverages. There are enough places to satiate your gastronomic needs while taking care of your wallet. The network of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) trains and buses runs the length and breadth of the country and, most importantly, offers very cheap travel options. Apart from the MRT, you can avail other modes of public transport that aren't very expensive either. Avail buses, and enjoy the journey, as well as the destination.
