Cash prizes given to top pies in each category including best in show! Pie entries accepted until noon. All pies, minus one slice, will be auctioned off at 3:30 p.m. on the main stage in Pioneer Park. Visit beagleandwolf.com for updates. PARADE GRAND MARSHALLSGRAND MARSHALL: PFC PAUL A GRAMS In memory of PFC Paul A Grams U S Army WWII who passed away on June 22, 2017.PFC Grams served in Combat in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He was wounded in action and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal and Theater Service Medals with two Bronze Stars in the American, European, African and Middle Eastern Theaters. He also was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge. He served from 30 Jun 1943 to 1 Jan 1946.

GRAND MARSHAL: SEAMAN 1ST LLOYD LUNDSTROM U S Navy WW II. Seaman 1st Lundstrom served aboard the USS Navorro and saw action putting Marines ashore during the battle for Okinawa. His ship was next to the USS Missouri during the signing of the peace treaty in Tokyo Bay. He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific medal with one battle star, China Liberation, Japan Occupation, WW II Victory medal and the Navy Good Conduct. He served from 4 Jun 1944 to 5 May 1946.

GRAND MARSHALL: SSGT MELVIN P NOESKESSGT Melvin P Noeske served in Combat in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and Service Medals for the American and Asiatic-Pacific Theaters. He served from 22 Feb 1943 to 20 Mar 1946.

NATIONAL ANTHEMThe national anthem will be sung by Annette Haas.

Annette grew up in Park Rapids. She is married to Tom Haas for over 30 years and together have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Annette works at St. Peter's Catholic Church as the Youth Minister and Faith Formation Coordinator. She has always enjoyed music and has played guitar and sang at many local events, including Woodtick Theater for 3 years, 1 year in the Northern Light Opera, weddings, funerals, dinner events, and very often at Mass at St. Peter's.

MARCHING BANDJoin us in welcoming the New York Mills Marching Eagle band to Park Rapids for their 2nd year! Sponsored in part by Northwoods Bank, Arvig and the Park Rapids Downtown Business Association.

PARADE ROUTEThe Route is from the Fairgrounds east along 2nd Street W to Main Avenue then south to 8th Street and back west to Fair Avenue.

Spectators - There are two large parking lots on the South end of the parade route:

1) DaVita Park Rapids Dialysis • 110 7th Street W 2) Essentia Health Clinic • 705 Pleasant Avenue

PRE-FIREWORKS CONCERT

The Park Rapids Area Community Band will be performing at 7:30 p.m. in Heartland Park. The concert area is located in the Pickle Ball Court, not far from where fireworks are dispensed.

There are approximately 50 members in the Community Band and the 4th of July outdoor concert is the largest audience they perform for annually.

FYI - The band sets-up to play facing the North! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Get there early for a prime spot!

They will be perform until "dark", approximately 9 p.m.
