The Girl Who Fell From The Sky

By: Heidi Durrow

A timely and moving bicultural coming-of-age tale, based on a true story . The daughter of a Danish

immigrant and a black G.I., Rachel survives a family tragedy only to face new challenges. Sent to live

with her strict African-American grandmother in a racially divided Northwest city, she must suppress

her grief and reinvent herself in a mostly black community. The world wants to see her as either

black or white, but that’s not how she sees herself. Meanwhile, a mystery unfolds, revealing the terri-ble truth about Rachel’s last morning on a Chicago

rooftop.

3:10 to Yuma Tombstone

Outlaw Ben Wade (Russell Crowe) terror-izes 1800s Arizona, especially the South-ern Railroad, until he is finally captured.

Wade must be brought to trial, so Dan Evans (Christian Bale), the owner of a

drought-stricken ranch, volunteers to es-cort him to the train. Along the trail, a

grudging respect forms between the men, but danger looms at every turn, and the

criminal's men are in pursuit
