This is the era where the positive, mobile, nimble, courageous and connected can take on the world.

SKILLS ALIVE

The 5Cs of Effective Business WritingHave you ever felt the need to choose between writing well and writing fast at work? The ability to put your ideas across accurately and effectively in writing is an important communication skill for every business executive. Sometimes the only exposure you may have to higher management is through your writing. If your email and letters are clear and concise, they convey an impression of someone with a well-organised mind, a person who knows exactly what is needed and how to make it happen. Messages that are vague, disjointed and weak may compromise your chance of being promoted and can tarnish your professional reputation.

This practical workshop is designed to empower you to write for the results you want in the shortest amount of time through a simple, step-by-step approach based on the fundamentals of effective email writing.

WORKSHOP OUTLINE:• Recognise and avoid common mistakes in email writing• Master the 5Cs of effective business writing• Develop clear and relevant subject headlines• Express ideas clearly and logically that are easily understood the first time• Write concisely following the KISS principle of good writing• Develop a 4-step writing format to inspire a coherent flow• Practice good email etiquette to improve professionalism in your writing• Acquire the skill to write effectively, professionally and confidently

TRANSFORMATION SERIES

Climb Your Own EverestIn 1953, Sir Edmund Hillary became the first man to stand on the summit of Mt. Everest, the highest point on earth. 37 years later, his son Peter also stood on the summit. A testament of driving ambition and tenacity!

With a history of world class achievements in climbing, what does it take to make the first two generations of one family get to the top of the world?

It does not matter whether you are surviving a storm on a mountain or getting your team safely through a crisis - if you survive, you live to play another day and you will be all the stronger for the experience.

Peter is the epitome of great ‘Leadership and Resilience’. His hilarious, entertaining and spine-tingling anecdotes will transport you to another world with a can-do spirit to achieve greatness on your very own Everest. This presentation will leave you charged, motivated and raring to go.

Peter believes that ‘uncertainty = excitement’. That’s the Hillary Difference.

TALK OUTLINE:• His message focuses on preparation, perseverance, teamwork, caution and good judgement – and most

importantly, enjoying life’s journey. Nothing ventured; nothing gained – all achievements involve risk• Resisting the “Flock Factor” – teamwork is essential for success• Self-reliance – trust in your own intuition• Communication is critical for getting your message across• Passion – teams thrive with people who are passionate, skilled and confident

Like his father, Sir Edmund Hillary, Peter Hillary has twice climbed Mt. Everest and has reached the South Pole overland; widely recognised as two of the most significant accomplishments in the world of adventuring and exploration. He also assists with raising funds for the Himalayan Trust, established by his father, which runs 42 schools and hospitals for the villages at the foot of Mt. Everest. Peter has a wealth of stories to share from a lifetime of high adventure including over 30 alpine expeditions on mountains throughout the world. They are stories of challenge and achievement that are inspirational and entertaining. He has spoken to over 500 high-profile organisations in a variety of settings from select executive groups of 12, to a wide audience of 12,000 at the Melbourne Tennis Centre.
