CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
This conference will provide an update on current clinical trends in otology and neurotology.Although primarily designed for the general otolaryngologist, other healthcare providers who workwith and treat patients with otologic problems will also benefit. The format consists of short lectures interspersed with questions from the audience as well as panel discussions. The speakers are largelydrawn from Baylor College of Medicine faculty.
OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of the activity, the participant should be able to: • Formulate a plan to evaluate and manage a patient with facial nerve palsy• Describe how to assess a patient with vertigo • Discuss current therapies for Meniere’s disease• Understand when to consider cochlear implantation• Incorporate current screening strategies for adult-onset sensorineural hearing loss• Recognize evidence-based criteria used to determine work-related noise-induced
hearing loss• Describe current paradigms for the management of middle ear effusions in children• Correctly diagnose and safely manage patients with chronic otitis media and/or cholesteatoma • Discuss the role of canal wall up and canal wall down mastoidectomy and understand the
surgical principals involved with these procedures• Review current strategies for the diagnosis and management of acoustic neuroma and other
temporal bone tumors• Incorporate the latest coding strategies related to otology and neurotology

FEE, REGISTRATION & CONFIRMATION INFORMATION
Refer to the registration form for the fee schedule. Your registration will not be processed untilpayment is received. Your registration will be confirmed. If you have not received confirmation at least 5 business days before the activity start date, contact the Office of Continuing MedicalEducation (OCME) immediately.
If you plan to register on-site, contact OCME at least 24 hours in advance to confirm activity status and space availability. The OCME reserves the right to limit the number of participants in an activity and will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by an individual whose registration is not confirmed and for whom space is not available.
Payment must be in U.S. funds, payable to Baylor College of Medicine. Verification of Fellow orResident status must accompany registration.
Light lunch on Friday, continental breakfast on Saturday, breaks and a syllabus are included in theregistration fee.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY
Requests for registration refunds must be in writing and received by the Office of ContinuingMedical Education (OCME) at least 10 business days before the activity begins. The date therequest is received by the OCME will be considered the cancellation date. Requests received afterthe refund deadline will not be processed. Cancellations are subject to a $50 administrative feededucted from the registration fee paid to cover guarantees and other expenses. Requests should be mailed to the OCME or faxed to 713.798.7955.
OCME reserves the right to cancel activities, not less than 10 business days before the scheduleddate, if extenuating circumstances make it necessary. Registrants will be notified at the contactnumber indicated on the registration form followed by written notification. If an activity is cancelled, OCME’s liability is limited to the registration fee paid.
