The Argentine Chapter for Hand Therapy of the Argentine Association

IFSHT Congress 2016, in conjunction with the IFSSH Congress 2016 in the Buenos Aires City, Argentina.

1.Historical background and membership numbers of the hosting organization.

The Argentine Chapter for Hand Therapy (CATM) was created by the Argentine Association for Surgery of the Hand (AACM) on 22nd

5.Overview of the hosting city and the proposed congress venue

Why Buenos Aires?

Buenos Aires is one of the greatest cities in the world, the most important capital in South America and one of the political and economic poles of the region. It is also known as the main capital of culture in South America. It has a unique beauty from the combination of its history, culture and people. This combination of styles and

• Football: six out of the most important teams in Argentina are in the city of Buenos Aires (River Plate, Boca Juniors, San Lorenzo, Vélez

• Polo: the country is also recognised internationally because of the polo bloodstock horses and their prestigious players. The Open Polo Championship is played at the end of November. This sport is played at the Argentine Polo Field. (Libertador and Borrego Ave., Palermo)

• Golf: Buenos Aires and its environs have various golf courses where this sport can be played.

Security

Buenos Aires is considered as of one the safest places in Latin America and it guarantees tourists a trouble-free stay. People are gentle and friendly to foreigners and they are always willing to help them. Overall, in Buenos Aires and in Argentina, there are no racial, political or religious problems.
