How to start Upwork?

If signing as an individual

looking to work, click

Work.


If youre an employer,

choose I want to Hire.


First, lets look at working

as an individual on

Upwork.


For now, select the

button Work.


Start filling the form to set

up an Upwork account.


Enter your First Name.


Then your Last Name.


Enter your Email.


Select your country.


Type your Username.


Enter your Password.


Select available option

from dropdown menu.


Type here the letters

shown below.


Once you have created

an account on Upwork,


You will ask to complete

creating your profile.


Great profile is your key

in getting hired.


Highlight your strength

with accurate description

of your skills,


Your employment history

and your education.


Try to create your profile

completely and

professionally.

To proceed, click

Complete my Profile

button.


On this page, you can see

various categories of work.


Select the main type of

work youre looking to do.


For now, we would choose

Design & Creative.


Choose the type you

want to do by click on it.


You may choose up to

four from the category.


Click Save & Continue

to proceed.


If you exceed, you will

received this category

error.


Pick only four category

which you think youre

highly skilled.


Click Save & Continue.


Now its time to empress

prospective clients, and


Lands your first job of a

well done profile.


Here, you can link your

other social media

accounts.


A good portrait photo

increases your chances of

being hires.


It might be your picture,

logo, clipart, or group

pictures.


And digitally altered

images are not allowed.


Type your Professional

Title here.


And your Overview here.


Your various skills.


Select your English

Language Proficiency.


Choose on dropdown

menu your availability to

work.


Click Save & Continue

to proceed.


Select Experience Level.


You can add your work

experience.


And your education here.


Add your various earned

certification.


And a visual samples of

your work.


Choose your rate.


Fill in your address.


Provide your Contact No.


It is highly recommended

to complete your profile,


Before proceeding to

apply for any job.


Then click Submit for

Review button.


Upwork will review and

approved your profile.


To improve your profile

percentage.


Read Upwork manual

and pass few skills test.


Now its time to begin

applying for work.


There are three ways

finding jobs here.


First, is by clicking Find

Work menu on top.


Upworks recommended

jobs will show based on

your profile.


Click the one that suits

your skills & read more.


You can apply for the job

by clicking here,


Or save it for later by

clicking here.


Another way to find jobs

is through My Job Feed.


Job Feed combine and

save all your searches.


To set it up, type your

category here.


And click Search

button.


Once available jobs

shown click this button.


Click Add button


Check result by visiting

this page updated job list.


Lastly, you can find job by

going to your category.


Select one sub-category

then available job shows.


Job on that category will

be displayed.


For hourly job, ensure to

download time tracker,


To have a real time

recording while working.
